It's worse than simply equating conservatism with Nazism. Nazism is a kissing cousin of Communism. They have historically competed directly with each other on the socialist end of the governmental system spectrum. Yet the Democrat captured media in America has largely been successful brainwashing the generations after WWII into thinking that capitalism and Republican ideas lead inexorably to Nazism. It's profoundly disgusting.
This is 1000% correct. Used this example in my HS American History class in 1968 up on the board to the amazement of the teacher, whom I greatly respected having been a 1LT USAAF B29 co-pilot off of Tinian for Curtis LeMay in 1945. Flew missions over Japan and lived to come home. He was upset that LeMay had become George Wallace's VP choice that fall, having thought him a personal hero 23 years earlier. I agreed, but the national media concept that Republicans really wanted to be Nazis was something I did not accept. The political landscape of 1968 was much different than today on many levels. The terms 'media' and 'MSM' had not entered the lexicon yet, but about this time you could sense that the 3 networks, national news magazines, major newspapers, et al, were all starting to sound alike. The echo chamber we recognize 57 years later.
I took the linear Left-Right scale he put on the blackboard and bent/turned it into a circle, with freedom on the top and tyranny on the bottom, connecting the Communism left with the Fascism/Nazi right. Got word that he used it in another class later that day. Stalin and Hitler were the Crips and Bloods of their day, fighting over the same street corner. Just bigger.
The Democrats and the MSM have, since FDR, run against Hoover and equated Republicans with Nazis. Reagan put a dent in it but Trump has broken that BS argument into little pieces of sh_t. National Socialists. Not National Conservatives.
