Sounds good--and is good if the executive indeed works to save the country from exisistential threats (which I do think Trump/Vance/Elon are doing in general)--but, man, that just is not a good precedential excuse for the chief executive's actions. The pendulum is wont to swing in our democratic republic, and the other side certainly has differing ideas on how the executive could, and perhaps should, "save" the country.

Just so short-sided.

Biden got shut down by the courts with student loans, rightfully so. Trump is going to get shut down on some of these things too.
