Saw a reddit notification come across my phone earlier. Desided to take a look, boy was that a mistake. What has happened to students at Texas A&M? I know this has been talked about. The comments these kids are making, what education are they receiving at Texas A&M?

This. When I was at A&M in the mid 70's the controversy was over the GSSO. Gay Students Services Organization.

It is not "Aggies" it's "Reddit"

Almost every subreddit is like that. Anyone with a neutral to opposing viewpoint online that is an Aggie probably just posts here.

These mouthbreathers believe that Trump and Co. are going to "destroy" Texas A&M? Bwahahaha. A&M and probably 99% of all other universities have done that to themselves. Trump is not going to go after a prestigious university's STEM-related colleges such as Engineering or Business, but I'd hope that we'd see a lot less of worthless "degree programs" that typically end in the word "Studies".

Let me just say, before the dogpiling continues and I can't keep up. I agree with the above. And my points about banning are from experience, more than is probably healthy, but hey we all have vices, right... I'm not commenting on the quality of the political subs.

I use reddit for a lot of topic-specific subs, and it can be excellent for that.

This I agree with. There are a lot of quality items to discuss, or learn, but as with politics, the margin of error is slim, and reddit leans very far left for politics.

All other items, minus maybe religion, it seems more balanced. Just saying, not piling on.

I've heard about that. The case even went to a federal court, who forced the university to recognize them.

Then, then I was a student, there was a controversy over whether to cover sexual orientation in the school's anti-discrimination policies.

And now TAMU is actively supporting that crap through an on-campus "resource center" and "LGBTQ Professional Network".
