Federal judges and Supreme Court Justices are not elected. Neither are Cabinet members. Unelected people have made decisions and run our country from the start, and certainly since the first cabinet position was created.

And to add, Trump ran on Elon doing exactly what he's doing. So, to be technical, Elon was approved by the voters.
