I have blue eyes. I've also had lasix surgery in the past, and my eyes are very sensitive to sun and bright lights too. It's really not that unusual.

After lasik I wear sunglasses a ton, more than my blue eyed wife. Made my eyes a lot more sensitive to the sun than before.

Also people who wear sunglasses more the to squint less, the more you squint the more wrinkles you get. The women folk don't like wrinkles

My eyes have become really light sensitive as I've gotten older, but the wrinkles thing is why my mother got me in the habit of wearing sunglasses at a young age. Now I don't go outside without them unless it's fully dark.

It could be either of those things as far as Melania is concerned, but honestly if I were her, I'd be pretty desperate to protect whatever amount of privacy I could, and sunglasses and hats are a great way to do that. Or at least to make yourself feel like you're not so exposed. After the way she and her husband have been treated, she likely has her guard up. I love that she supports him with her presence without feeling the need to make a huge production out of it.

I initially went down a rabbit hole wondering if something happened to her face.

She reminded me of Diana Rigg in On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

I have brown eyes and never leave without sunglasses. Maybe it was lasik surgery? She could have had that as well. Also can't hang at the pool or beach without a visor.
