This is one of those things where the opposition thinks if they can fight for a month or two, maybe they can survive long term.

Take that AF example. The base commander is ultimately responsible for everything that happens under their command. Hegseth indirectly stated this very clearly in his confirmation hearing. (Paraphrasing) "If a rifleman loses his rifle he's demoted and punished, but if a General loses a war he's promoted." Obviously he's not going to put up with that continued mode of operation. Stands to reason, if in the case of Luke AFB, the base commander wants to risk his or her career and potentially retirement they'll cut that nonsense out.

If you were a General a few years from full retirement would you really want to risk being relieved of duty, possibly taking a reduction in permanent rank, and bucked down to the previous retirement level/tier?

Trump admin really needs to go a step further than rescinding EO 11246, and additionally direct all govt agencies to add specific anti-DEI language in all of their supplier contracts. Basically, if you want to do business on govt contracts, kill your DEI policies. That would likely be the fastest way to kill DEI in the commercial sector.

I make a lot of money and have zero financial worries. I'm much more concerned about our nation doing what is right. Eliminating government-sanctioned discrimination (which is precisely what DEI is) is the right thing to do. Period. You're labeling it as a "toy" or distraction so you can pretend like it's no big deal whether it stays or goes and ridicule people who care about eliminating it by telling them they're falling for a distraction. That is an outright lie. The DEI issue is not a distraction. It has very real, tangible consequences for the millions of people who have been rejected from universities, rejected from private sector employment opportunities, and rejected from public sector employment opportunities based on their skin color, sex, and sexual orientation. It also has very real, tangible consequences for our nation a whole when every private industry and every government subdivision favors superficial characteristics over merit and competence.

Minority athletes have been raking in the $ long before DEI was implemented by lib morons because they could perform thus had value.
