Didn't know the backstory before today. But it seems like BS. Anyone able to verify the info?

Should of went clocked that guy that pushed him down. To me that's self defense once someone lays hands on you and pushes you down.

Do as we say or go to jail. Aren't these the same people who claim Trump is going to round them up out of revenge?

No. He should have stayed on the ground and said his neck and back hurt and asked for medical assistance, then called Georgia's version of the Texas Hammer and sued the other guy.

Or tell the state troopers he wants to press charges, and ask them to arrest the guy.

If not the troopers' jurisdiction, alert those that it is. Has plenty of evidence.

I am guessing his ban in the House ends some time today.

He is passively trying to enter the chamber without using arms or hands in a way that can be construed as combative.

He was banned by the Lt. Gov (also a Republican). The house and Senate were unveiling a portrait of late House Speaker David Ralston during a formal recognition of his service since he had passed away. In the senate they were going to vote on naming a building after him on the campus of North Georgia University while Ralstons family and friends were in attendance.

Moore decide to speak in opposition to the vote and used his time to basically **** on the guy and talk about how awful he was. So he was banned from the house chambers until he apologized to Ralstons family and friends.

Today he tried to enter the chambers and was stopped then arrested.

If there is going to be a vote, and he is in opposition to that vote, shouldn't he use his allocated time to educate everyone else why?

Granted, I get the 'harshness' of it, with the family there.

But how can that be used to justify locking him out? So now when there's a vote, we can just lock people out if we disagree with their opinion?

If that's all true, then its good he was arrested. Not sure why a state senator insists he should be allowed to enter a chamber to which he was not elected, but in any event, if the state house has the ability to ban him, then ban means ban. He's probably a Gaetz, all performance. If he really wanted to enter, he apparently could have apologized. But the simple solution is ignored when you want to create a scene.

Because that's where the joint session is. All the Senators were going into the House Chamber.

Telling the truth is not disparaging someone. Completely unconstitutional order to bar him unless he tells a lie to placate the rinos.

Okay good to know. If that is the case, then it's a question of whether the "ban" applies to House proceedings or the physical House chamber. Because if the House chamber is being used for joint business, it doesn't seem like the House would have the power to enforce a ban.

Ralson is dead. He was warned it was not appropriate conduct at that time or place. He's a state senator trying to get into the House. The House speaker banned him and he physically tried to defy those orders.

Very tacky - like showing up so someone's funeral and making a scene. Reminds me of the antics of MTG.

Not sure they need to bring back duels, but this dude deserves an ass-kicking.

No, it is nothing like showing up to someone's funeral and making a scene. He could have done that if he had wanted to.

They were voting on naming a building after the guy. He was speaking about why they shouldn't.

What if Joe Biden dies and the US Senate is voting on renaming the West Wing after him? Shouldn't Senators be able to speak about why we shouldn't necessarily permanently honor someone with that distinction?

Arrest for breach of the peace is excluded.

Verbally attacking a dead man at a memorial proceeding in front of his family is clearly a breach of the peace.

He was not arrested for "verbally attacking a dead man at a memorial proceeding in front of his family". If that was the case he would have been arrested last year.

There was no breach of the Peace, accept by the doofus who assaulted him.

The "Verbal attack" happened at a different event.

He was being punished for his continued lack of decorum in the Senate, then tried to defy those orders by physically pushing his way to the State of the State in the House. Again, breach of the peace. The State of the State is not a proceeding where he votes or participates.

Can you post those videos of him pushing his way into the chamber? All the videos I've seen never show him pushing anybody, only being pushed. As others commented above he was purposely walking with his arms awkwardly down so as not to push someone.

Why wasn't Keith Williams arrested for pushing Moore down to the floor if that is breach of the peace?

Y'all are right.

No more waiting at airport security for me. I'll just walk through with my arms down at my side pushing as hard as I can with my legs. "I'm not pushing!"

You are being unserious now. You've said he was "breaching the peace".

One person in this video could be described as "breaching the peace" and it isn't Moore.
