No, being tribal will never change to a shrinking portion of people in this country. We'll be tribal along other dimensions like social class, regional cultural or ethnic social practices, etc. hard to eliminate that is and them instinctive behavior but it can at least ba channeled into more relatively harmless or competitively useful directions over time. Sort of like sports team fandom is relatively benign and pretty much not based at all on immutable characteristics, but rather common social practices and geography. That can be channeled into friendly competition instead of harmful discrimination, for example, but still satisfies a need to be tribal.
I'd like to continue to progress that way. It will require cultural and behavioral shifts that don't align with race, and especially not codifying such presumptive associations.
