Surprised Ohio is that low. They've become a solid red state.
I think it's the union support. All the states across the Midwest with strong union support ranked lower.

Delaware is a head fake since companies love doing business there due to their legal system.

Ever met anyone who moved to Delaware? Me neither.
I had like 8 or 10 clients that were Delaware corporations, but they only organized in Delaware but operated only in Texas. Apparently my situation was an outlier and companies actually locate in Delaware.

Without looking into it, my gut says what you see is what normally happens. Corporate is structured in Delaware but majority of employees aren't there, including C-Suite.

What the heck is happening in Idaho?
Quite a lot, apparently. Varied state economy.

Keep in mind Id is also a small state doing good things and is catch businesses fleeing the stupidity of the West coast. These growth figures are in terms of percent growth over a fixed time..

Still in terms of new and raw economic power ID and UT are dwarfed by large Red States such as Texas, Fla, Ga.

Ark and Bama also have surprising growth rates. Bama in particular has been showing impressive growth according to a host of news sources. CNBC calls it America most improved state for business. Like Tennessee recently, Bama is poised to be a great growth opportunity. Particularly the Huntsville area.
