Be careful what you wish for. The bottom 50% don't pay anywhere near what they should pay in income tax and they benefited greatly. That's a big problem with the country now: representation withOUT taxation!

The federal government was never intended to be this large and expensive.

Therein lies the problem. It should be for core government functions enshrined in the original constitution and nothing more. And only those industries supporting that core government function, should gets money from the government.

Moron. Never really paid attention to him in the past but now I know to ignore him completely.

We should move to a national sales tax only. It would get rid of the IRS and would actually make the tax system equitable which the democrats seem to love.
