Trying to blame the folks who are outraged by this idea as being divisive is pretty amazing. BTW, there are plenty of folks in Trump world that think exactly like PA24 and many others that would be just fine with a Trump dynasty. Hell if Barron were old enough I have zero doubt he would be the choice, many in Trump forums certainly think so and are rife with showing pictures of Barron and Donald at similar ages and think of them as clones.

BTW, there are multiple posters saying she should be VP or Senator with that same intent.

A lot of folks really hate dynasties and they really don't like the idea of the Trump family simply controlling the country for a few decades.

To be clear what we are talking about here let's look at Lara Trump. She has a Communications Degree from NC State and worked in TV in some minor roles. Had she not married Eric no one would even know her name. She was a part of a minor women for Trump campaign in '16 that no one remembers. She speaks and does fundraising. She has zero policy experience or true business experience. The only thing she has done was get her Father in Law to put her in as RNC Chair and implement Harmeet Dhillon's plan that they should have been doing all along if Donald hadn't pushed for having Romney in that job.

4 years is an eternity in politics. If normal Americans aren't optimistic about the economy by spring 2026, the DNC will use that as a platform to chip RINOs away from the agenda and try to take congress. A lame duck Trump would then be fighting an even worse uphill battle. Establishment GOP would be all too happy to label Trump as a failed experiment in populism and reclaim their favorite role as controlled opposition.

Basically if Trump fails to deliver an economic miracle within the next 2 years his name is likely to become a political liability.

Then, she'd still have to do a good job there before even an inkling of consideration for a primary run. Then, beating some of the other candidates still seems like it would be pretty far fetched.

I can't wait to vote for this Trump someday. Can you imagine how much he despises the modern left? I would totally understand if he became a fascist and wanted to round the zealots up and put them in institutions, and I would vote for it. Look, I don't hate Lara Trump but there is zero doubt she would be a nobody if she hadn't married Eric. That's where these arguments break down for me. If they happen to have the Trump name and had done some amazing things not affiliated with Donald that would be a different story but so far none of them have. Even with GWB at least he had success with the Rangers and then was a successful Governor for 2 terms.

I think a lot of folks just want an open primary in '28 and let the chips fall. Let the strongest candidate make their case and earn votes. I don't like anyone pre-ordained, I didn't like it when it happened long before Trump and I don't like it with even the Democrats.

I'm thoroughly against this. If Lara Trump actually did heavy lifting at the RNC and contributed, kudos to her, and I may even be able to accept her finishing out Rubio's term, as cringey as it is, but after that she needs to be done.
