Honestly, at least a few need to be charged with treason and punished accordingly. If a weaponized agency of the federal government colluded/conspired to rig or influence an election back in their day, the founders would have stacked bodies. We are more civilized so we need to target those responsible, prosecute, and execute via lethal injection.

If we don't have honest elections, we don't have a country, and it is PROVEN that the FBI (and 51 intel officers who signed a letter) absolutely and purposefully tampered in the 2020 Presidential election. The GOP-e is about to have a reckoning with the voters who gave Trump a mandate. I hope Elon starts right now on recruiting strong candidates to primary these guys and funds them well enough to win. They need to see immediate responses to show them they are on the wrong track and that uniparty business as usual is not going to cut it this time around.

Then he'd be out of a job. I'm not sure that's how those who seek power will operate. I will bet $20 that IF he's confirmed, that he fires some so he can say he did, but no one is shutting the FBI down and no one in any position of consequence believes that would work. Changing out staff, absolutely. But the government is a slow, cluster f, so if you have to create new national organization to replace it, you better have a temporary fix.

The power of the FBI could also not "just go back to the states" to handle. The disconnects, distrust and poor flow of information is one reason the FBI was created in the first place.

I can say this....if any of these more bizarre picks are actually confirmed and run things into the ground for 4 years, the Dems will be back in power by 2028. We have to be smart, not just with the picks but we need to be careful and strategic with the implementation of the change. Can't blame the Dems if some of these become a dumpster fire. Can only go to the 'deep state' well so many times before even fellow conservatives have had enough and just want to normalcy and competency.

I want to see all investigations and prosecution efforts for politicians taken out of the DC office and conducted by people who don't live next door to and go to parties with the people they are supposed to investigate. Downsize the DC office to what is needed to manage the national level organization and push everybody else out to field offices. The more power and control we can decentralize from DC the better off we will be.

If this empire must fall in order to root out your corrupt ilk from the deep state, then so be the fall, and the replacement which will ensure your ilk never rises to power again.

I, of course, don't believe the empire has to fall in order to fundamentally decapitate the deep state overlords. We don't need them to puppeteer the empire any longer. And with them out of the way, the empire can flourish like never before in an age of plenty, powered by a renewed focus on health, governmental transparency, and an unraveling of the administrative state.

Agreed. This was a landslide electoral college victory and a popular vote win. It was so large it's incontrovertible.
