I can't help but wonder if I was making $30 million a year, and got cut to $25 million, would I even feel a difference? Would I have to sit down and ask what corners I can cut?

Media deals are a little bit different and apparently the hope is the spinoff can attract new investors to keep the lights and cameras on. Like her or hate her, she is one of their few stars that still has an audience, albeit a much smaller one. Keeping her under contract is a possible perceived value add.

Don't agree with it but it is their call.

If I remember correctly she screwed them after negotiating the $30M a year contract. Soon after she said she was only working ?one? day a week or something along those lines. They bent over and took it.

Maybe she picked up the pace again but this was due anyway. If still only once a week they need to cut more.

Whomever allowed that in the first place needs to never have a management job. One of many reasons they need to reevaluate wtf they are doing.

You're right, and I get all that...but her compensation still seems veryyyyyyyy inflated for what she brings to a low rated news network.

Whenever I hear something like this I immediately wonder what the passthrough money laundering piece is.

There's no way they're paying her $30 or $25 million to do what she does.

Is there some kind of staffing piece to this? Like her salary is what's reported but that actually pays for other things like the employees or something? Or a huge kickback to a nonprofit?
