The Democrats have not learned anything. Democrats just got their least amount of electoral college votes nationally since 1988, and lost at the top of the ticket in Texas in a presidential year by their largest percentage margin of defeat since 2012.

The Democrats have decided to go full speed ahead on more identity politics. The Democrats have decided that they lost because of racism and sexism instead of inflation/high prices, border security/immigration, crime, and extremism on social policies.

If one got dragged all the way across any ocean they would no longer be alive

Someone should ask her who she knows that had that happen to them. It didn't happen to me (or to her), and it wasn't done by a single person I have ever met.

Slavery was awful. And 160 years ago.

Guess she hasn't heard of press gangs, indentured servitude, or Australia.

My retort would be to show me the black person that was dragged out of their home, dragged across the ocean, and told to work.

it's weird i didn't know captured warriors from other african tribes who were then made slaves by their captors had homes before they were traded for weapons.

Guess she does not realize that the root wood for slave is Slav.
Slavs dragged from their homes, across oceans to the Islamic nations and told they were going to work.
Slavery is bad and was not limited to Africa, although it is still can be found there.

Blacks in Africa that were dragged out of their homes and sold into slavery to wind up in America were drug out by…blacks, and certainly almost never Europeans themselves. The Kongo etc. became some of the wealthiest rulers on earth by 'producing' the people of the slave trade for the Portuguese/British traders.

And not to make this a ridiculous racial competition, but plenty of whites have been/are sold into slavery throughout history.

Every human being alive in this country has ancestors who, at one point or another, lived actual horrors beyond anything we can imagine or comprehend. Whether it be 200 years ago, or 1,000.

Also, for the liberal race baiting pearl clutchers...EVERY HUMAN BEING has ancestors who were absolute vile monsters at some point in their lineage at one time or another. Every single one of us.
