For those asking about feminine hypocrisy, I'm only assuming here but I imagine her complaining about a "man" forcing his way into the same bathroom when she forced her way into an all male institution. A bit apples and oranges but legitimately both fruit. I see where they are coming from. Imagine all of the accommodations and changes that had to be made because she chose that school instead of the millions of other schools that didn't have a tradition of all male students. She didn't belong there but forced her way in (see the parallel?).

I get lost in some of the wording but it sounds like a similar situation where you can't discriminate against someone that is transgender.

Don't get me wrong, I think Nancy Mace is completely in the right. That being said, I can totally get it that someone might see her as being a tad bit hypocritical. Both can be true.

If I follow a woman into a restroom at Cal Berkeley as a man, she is going to flip and call the police. Just because a man with a mental illness decides to do it doesn't make it any better and potentially worse.

As a father, I stand outside of the restroom when my daughter goes in to one in public without my wife. She knows if she screams, I am coming in. If she sees a man or feels uncomfortable, to turn around and get out while screaming.

Chicks do use the men's restroom. Particularly when the line for the women's is too long.

You don't hear about it because:

• The vast majority of females are not a physical threat to the vast majority of males.
• The popular stereotype is that men don't care if a women sees them peeing.
• When women invade the men's bathroom they are typically VERY LOUD about it which gives the men a choice to leave to stay before the women get an eyeful.

George Strait concert at the Summit in Houston, 1985ish. So many women came to see young George that their bathroom lines were awful. They spilled into the men's rooms waiting for access to the stalls. If you were peeing at a urinal, you just ignored it and finished up your business. I was putting the beer down pretty steadily so I cared more about relief than I did modesty.

This is so true. They don't even understand the American sense of individualism and liberty. England has flat given up on free speech.

The bathroom issue is a bit different than the sports issue. In sports, biological males have a physical advantage and have caused physical injuries to women they play against, in addition to taking scholarship and awards away from women.

The bathroom issue - do I believe that those committed to their identity pose a physical danger to women? No. This particular person elected to office? No. But when you allow anyone into a woman's bathroom who claims that identity you DO open the space up to predatory males who are now entering that space with unquestioned acceptance. There is no way around that and there are examples of assaults perpetrated by those very predators.

The only way to protect those spaces is to not allow males in, regardless of how they identify.

1. Men are the stronger sex so the presence of a woman is not intimidating or frightening.
2. Men are much more disagreeable and would be more likely to say something immediately. The constant challenge would make it less tenable of a practice.

Has she even thought about FtM guys going back to use the women's room? A big guy with a beard wandering in the bathroom would make her lose her mind. It's all a bunch of stupid virtue signaling and she should focus on the real task which is bringing down inflation.
