I'm glad to see morning Joe do that. Tells me a lot about him too. Even if it's self serving and his show is dying, he knows what it takes to rebuild his audience and he'll swallow pride to make it happen.

I'll need to watch his show for a few days to see if he dials back the rhetoric.

The only reason why is that their ratings are in the toilet and they had to do something different. If their ratings were high, this wouldn't have happened.

They realize Trump brings viewers, amazing it took 9 years

If he goes on there and they start reporting fairly, their ratings will skyrocket.

I don't see too much downside on this for Trump as much as I would have rather seen him give them the finger. If Joe goes on from here spouting the same hateful crap they've always done, no one is going to think anything of it at all. The people that still watch that crap will still watch it and those that don't won't start.

However, Trump can now play the "I gave them the chance" card. And if, however impossible it seems, that the show actually softens their attacks on Trump, isn't that also beneficial?

I really don't see how Trump loses in this.

He used to call into their show and they loved him. This was 2015-ish.

You start to comprehend the magnitude of Trump's victory when you see people like this changing their tune and toning it down. They know everything they have said over the past 8-9 years just got roundly rejected by the American public.
