Do you honestly believe that "illegals" do any great chunk of crop picking? First, a farmer better not get caught using such labor, and second there were plenty of green card holders and legal pickers available before this 10 million+ surge.

Spend some time in a border town and watch the traffic coming over legally every morning to work.

Good. It's an invasion. Use the military to defend the countries borders, which is specifically lined out in constitution. Unlike bombing the ME for oil.

An Obama judge will put in a temporary injunction.

The 5th circuit will overturn it.

5th circuit (over Texas) will say it is legal. Very conservative circuit.

When 5th circuit is appealed, it will be up to SCOTUS to decide.

In the duration, the US Coast Guard is not covered by the Posse Comitatus Act.

Trump can use the Coast Guard.

Republicans in Congress can also use budget reconciliation to move a massive amount of military funding to the Coast Guard.

Trump can also use executive orders. Keep in mind that Biden tried to forgive student loans, and make everyone in the country take the vaccine using executive orders.

The Posse Comitatus Act also does not prevent red state governors like Abbott, Desantis, and Kemp from using the national guard within its home state or in an adjacent state if invited by that state's governor. A Democrat controlled federal government will no longer be there on January 20th to prevent the red state governors from enforcing the law.

If the injunction comes from a California court then the 5th can't overturn it. Will be up to the 9th

Getting rid of the illegals will help with this. Keeping them only makes it worse.

- Illegals are NOT cheap. They are a net loss to the taxpayer. Individuals on the lowest income level spectrum receive more benefits (no income tax paid, no payroll taxes paid by employers, tax credits received if fake ID, free emergency room, uninsured motorist costs, welfare system, free schooling, free school lunches) from the govt than they produce.
- Illegals create another distribution of wealth. The above net negative impacts are paid for by the taxpayer or charity supporter. You can pay your maid the amount you are, because the other benefits are being paid by others for you. If we did not have illegals, the maid wages would be higher, and it would incentivize Americans to enter the market, and YOU the employer would be paying closer to full price of the labor, vs taxpayers supporting your maid habit. If fully burdened, most people could not afford a maid or a big house.
- We are paying for illegals and people not working (welfare). Only way to stop it, is to get rid of the non-natural market forces, which is imported labor.

Posse Commitatus.

If it is Non-police work such as transportation that is fine but the implication of Title 1 troops arresting people in the US will not fly for many judges, no matter what team they were appointed by.

Who says they'll be arresting anybody? Who is better than the military to create holding camps to feed and contain people being deported? That leaves CBP and ICE personnel to do the job they are authorized to do.

Was any of this true before the millions of illegals started pouring in 4 years ago? No it wasn't. We had plenty of illegals before Biden took office, and we'll have plenty of illegals left over after Trumps done deporting his millions. We're gonna be fine.

Logical fallacy. They broke the law to enter our country, they are criminals, and you want to cry about how we have to round them up and deport them. Tell your leaders to stop aiding and protecting criminals and this wouldn't be necessary.

Yeah he was not bullish on it during the election, kind of just mentioned it but we all figured it was gaslighting

But since he won the election so big and the popular vote, he is saying F that. He is going to go all out it seems.

And I know what everyone is thinking, oh this is good until the media makes it out to be inhumane and he will cut the program........... NO, Trump is a one term president, he can do whatever he wants

Look. I'm all in favor of securing our border. I don't want people coming here illegally. But that needs to be coupled with an improved immigration system - the current one is terribly broken.

Having said that - using the military to round up people and deport them sounds like a recipe for disaster.

We don't need 10,000,000 people to harvest produce.

1. A good bit of our produce comes from across the border already. Labor costs and capital costs are making it prohibitively expense for us to produce our own food. Over time the ag industry has become increasingly mechanized and automated to address the labor challenges.

2. Those migrants that do come here to work (not the freeloaders and criminal types) are probably going into entry level construction (concrete, carpentry, roofing, painting, etc) and service industry (house keeping, food service, landscaping, etc)

Work visa programs exist. We could also reduce welfare benefits to get some workers in the fields.

The Ag industry will adapt. A lot of them are not industrializing because of cheap, illegal workers.

Democrats used that same "who's going to pick the crops" argument to bolster slavery. 150yr old arguement - who picks cotton now?

The military isn't going to march from town to town committing illegal search and seizure violations. They will assist in securing the border, helping with detention and providing transportation/logistics. ICE will do the rounding up of violent criminals, which is their job.

That's fine and all, but think bigger if you actually want to change things.

Go to every meat-packing plant, lord knows Texas has as many, if not more, than most, and you'll find a treasure trove of illegal immigrant. Through their roundup, you'll find their relatives and friends, who also shouldn't be here. Now, if we're really at the company to "do justice," then we need to also audit/investigate the eff out of the company to see why they had so many people who don't speak english, have no history of working anywhere else in the country, or even going to school anywhere in the country, yet the company was too stupid to catch the most obvious of signs.

Then do the same at every non-chain restaurant, and you'll get the same result. Again, don't forget to ruin those businesses with audits and investigations, because anyone who is honest, moral and ethical, knows that me-maw knew she was hiring illegals, she just wanted to save a buck. That or she couldn't find a "F*k yeah, 'Merca!" American, because the truly lazy ones aren't the ones crossing to work with me-maw, it's the ones born-and-raised here. Go, 'Merca.

Next, hit the hotels, and lastly with every "contractor," where I guarantee you'll find one "pinche gringo" who owns the company, who has one guy that speaks to the "subcontractors," because he knows they're not here legally, and he knows that because, again, they don't speak english, have no history of working anywhere else in the country, or even going to school anywhere in the country, but so long as he can say, "Hey, they work for cash," well, we all know what that means when the worker speaks and acts like he just crossed the border. "Stupid gringo."

Do those things, and yes, prices on everything people on here have been complaining about for four years will go up, but since prices are higher because the illegals have been kicked out, the complaining will go to crickets in a heart beat.

Oh, but all of those are the illegals. What to do about the ones that are herethanks to asylum claims. Unlike the ones above, they're not here ilegally.

I would think that someone who is here legally would gladly prove that they are here legally. They don't like Biden's mass illegal immigration either.

590 am in Austin had a caller last week who said that he would gladly get deported and start over legally if his legal children got to stay. I hooe that those are the lowest priority for deportation and are given a path to legality. I hope that the deportation program goes after the criminals with the fullest force to get them out of the country. They have to go back.

Good. Illegal immigration is one of the biggest reasons Trump won. It costs Americans untold billions a year, and the Texas taxpayer bears a tremendously disproportionate amount of that. Enforce the law and deport as many as possible.

Pathetic that some people are whining about enforcing the law after years of whining about the invasion. No country should accept what we've been forced to deal with. Follow the law!
