Quote:

Kamala Harris's campaign paid more than double what was previously thought to Oprah Winfrey as Democrats continue to fundraise past the election after going into debt to run a presidential bid.

Reports emerged that Harris's campaign paid Winfrey's Harpo Productions $1 million as part of a very pricey and short run for the White House.

But now, the New York Times reports that two people familiar with the matter reveal the full price of the event with Winfrey cost closer to $2.5 million.

Wowzers. It just keeps getting worse the more we learn. And Oprah and these other celebs keep denying they got anything despite public receipts showing otherwise.

Thank the Lord she lost. She would have driven spending off the cliff even faster than it's already headed.
Trump will fix it.

Democrat career politician has no sense of money. I fully believe we would have been completely ****ed if she had managed to win.

People need to realize these are not one time payments. They are political kickbacks and they happen all the time. All these wealthy celebs continue enriching themselves from the public money. People should be in prison but instead are fine dining and drinking the good and laughing.

So a bunch of libs gave a bunch money to Oprah and other rich libs. In return, they got to see Kamala get her rear handed to her.

Remember, the.libs are for the little guy

The talking head post mortems are always hilarious with their perplexed dissections of why working class voters and minorities are moving away from Democrat loyalty. There is so much money in their little echo chambers, paying each other to agree with each other, that they end up living inside a false reality with no clue what the majority wants.

Have any celebrity endorsements ever been difference-makers in a campaign? Candidates and campaign staffers love them for the ego stroke, and because it's fun for them to take pics with stars at fundraisers, but have any of you ever voted for a Republican because Chuck Norris showed up at a rally or something?

I wonder if Sinatra supporting JFK was the last big impactful celebrity political endorsement, but that probably had more to do with their mutual friends in Chicago.

The same people that spent $8 trillion to do covid tried to get Kamala Harris elected for $1 billion and it didn't work.

They cheaped out. Someone gambled that Kamala could be brute forced over the finish line and they lost.

I'd say more like kickbacks than laundering like with the Biden painting or book deals. They talk about the working man and being good for regular Americans, then go give donation money, some of which from those regular people to already uber rich people.

He was a serious backer who did way more than just endorse.

But I was thinking specifically of "celebrities" from the entertainment or info-tainment sectors.

Yep. Laundering involves passing the money to another entity like Soros does with his "charities." Celebrity payments and political advertisements on MSNBC are simple bribery.

They handed out a bunch of cash.

They had every expectation that Beyonce, Eminem and Oprah would work.

Kamala was they Plan A.

Pulled a page out the covid brute force playbook and failed to execute.

Spent a billion and failed.

They went cheap.

Some egghead estimated that it could be done for a billion and was wrong.

All it boils down to.

"Can we get Kamala elected for a billion?" and someone said yes.

And they even went over budget to $1.3 and the entire project was a resounding failure.

Meanwhile Trump spends $330 million lock to lock and wins in a landslide.

Kamala had unlimited funds to get elected.

They spent as much money as they possibly could. in 107-days.

There was no way they could spend money faster.

They had a pot of money and offered every celebrity and influencer cash money for an endorsement.

And apparently a lot said no.

Way less celebrity endorsements now than in 2020.

They didn't pay Oprah, they paid her production company for a townhall event. Who cares.

Billionaire Oprah prob made a measly few hundred thousand on this. If she was paid for an endorsement, it wasn't thru this event.

It isn't money laundering; its pay for play. At least in this case.

In other cases, it IS money laundering AS WELL AS pay for play (to an extent). Take the abortion industry, particularly Planned Parenthood. They and their supporters pay dearly to democrat politicians who, in turn, get public funds approved for PP in droves. The cycle just keeps repeating. But that is public money once they're elected and that public money finds its way back into the campaign funds of democrat pols.

What's weird about this matter is it is the campaign paying Oprah instead of the other way around. I think these celebrities were smart enough to know how to push Kamala's buttons (and those of her supporters) to get in on the cash grab. It shows her team wasn't any smarter than she was.

Or, perhaps the celebs are simply holding the funds for a crooked politician that can't pay herself directly out of campaign funds.

A good portion of the money will go from these celebs back to the politicians directly or indirectly and some of it to the Dem party and their affiliated PACs. Kickbacks. Bagmen. More kickbacks. Oh it's a nasty business but they get it done.

I think the candidates who do that just go through vendors. Like Bernie hiring his wife's consulting firm and buying another Summer home.

Looks like the misguided dems thought they could buy the presidency. They failed to realize that such would require a viable candidate. Her original primary run should have told them that NOBODY truly wanted her to be our president. This was a horrific miscalculation. Fortunately we dodged that bullet.
