I would let Trump's nominees get confirmed, then pack the special elections to replace the House members with multiple candidates running as Republicans and keep only one Democrat on the ballot. It would dilute the Republican vote and give them a chance for a couple Democrats to win with pluralities that could change the balance of power in the House.

Those districts are reliably 35-40% Dem, so one Dem with that percentage is formidable in a non-primary, come one, come all special election.

ETA: This is why I'm surprised Trump nominated as many House members as he did for cabinet posts.

I'm not a fan of taking congresspeople out of their seats for admin positions. But the dems will be devious and we'll probably bein playing catch up with them.

Maybe they should, I don't know, listen to the voters for once instead of the Obamas.

Thankfully, they are likely to double down on their stupid and continue alienating voting blocks they used to rely on.

The best thing for Trump is to win and win big. Bring down inflation, strong border, stop our involvement in foreign wars, shrink government. If he does this the Republicans will own the mid-terms.

If you are a Democrat your party will need to stop all of these initiatives (and more). The party of stoppage is not a winning strategy.

Special elections to fill vacant House seats do not have primaries. They are come-one-come-all elections where anyone can throw their hat in the ring without a limit on the number of candidates who can appear on the ballot. The candidate with the highest plurality of votes wins.
