From the thread headline I was going to ask, who?

But since the link answers that question, he sounds like a good choice given his experience and results in front of the Supreme Court.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Good for him. Trump's SG going to be very busy very quickly so it's good to have this one lined out.

Trump is finally going to drain the swamp and make things right

His voice takes some getting used to, which those of us lawnerds will do when we listen to oral arguments next term.

Somewhat of a sidenote here. These lawyers risked loss of their licenses for just representing Trump at all much less going all of the way to SCOTUS.

Not a sidenote. Solicitor General can be a stepping stone to SCOTUS.

Trump took a lot of heat for not draining the swamp the first go-round. If course he was hamstrung for 4 years. Looks like he is not messing around this time.
The best way to keep evil men from wielding great power is to not create great power in the first place.

That 4 year pause was just tactical planning.

I hope the same mistakes in trusting the wrong people won't happen this time around.

However, so much of the structural change will require congress and keeping the mob in line may be very difficult. A strong showing and public support for 2028 for Vance or DeSantis is critical to keep momentum.

It still feels like a dream. I knew on election night that it was going to be epic, but now that Trump is moving on the transition and appointments in such an organized and methodical fashion, you can see he learned the hard lessons from his first term, has had four years to plan for this, and is determined to do it right this time.

It is hard to overstate how badly the Democrats miscalculated on this election. It's like Americans finally woke up and slammed a door in their face.

Yeah we need 8 to 12 years of consecutive leadership to really set in the changes. That's a tall task

Which is why we require the 2026 midterms to extend that runway. Lara needs to stay at RNC and keep working on that upcoming election.

Yep. Gotta keep making gains in election integrity. Hopefully we can get fair transparent election nationwide.

I think we need 16 years of strong, conservative leadership, after Trump. That would give us almost a full.generation without communist control.

Get some big wins for the people in 2025 without another RussiaRussiaRussia type hoax, and '26 might get supermajority numbers.

It would take 20 years. He won't be able to do much in 4, but he will hopefully be a nice speed bump that allows me to accumulate some good wealth before I turn 40. Then the next dem will undo most of it in a few years.

Elon and Vivek can help with the EAC and CISA. They really also need to focus on those corrupt agencues.

Don't get me wrong here. Electronic voting companies need oversight but they really need meaningfull oversight that takes a lot of the crap out of them and put true experts in those agencies.

Clay Parikh, who just took out a ruler and measured the ballot image on the paper size on 16 randomly selected ballots during the Lake challenge, yet his Dem counterparts had no idea why he did that? That guy did do contract work for EAC in the past. When he pointed out Dominion did not pass the test (for a past version of Dominion's software in 2017) he was not renewed.

The current SG Prelogar is phenomenal at her job. Always incredibly well prepared. She's about to make a lot of money in private practice.

Hopefully this guy lives up to it. It's not about just doing one case it's about being prepared for every case.

He's been solicitor general of Missouri for a while, so quite experienced. There's a reason the Trump team tapped him for this argument. Very talented.

Prelogar is very impressive. Some won't look at her skill objectively because she's on team blue.

Good! This is probably an underappreciated position but extremely important.
