What happened to Elizabeth Hasselbeck on The View?

On July 9, 2013, ABC confirmed that Hasselbeck would be leaving The View to join Fox & Friends. Her last day on The View was on July 10, 2013. Since departing Hasselbeck returned on May 15, 2014, along with other former co-hosts to celebrate Barbara Walters' retirement.

They are definitely out of touch with the vast, vast majority of Americans. That show has done more to dumb down the American populace than almost anything outside the University.

I had just assumed for a long time now that the network let those hags run wild on the view because the show would get more publicity and media mentions through the absurdities they spew out than it gets from any normal viewership.

Disney owns ABC.

If I am CBS or NBC I beat ABC to the punch and run a conservative bunch of women out under a similar format of The View same time slot.

Megyn Kelly was talking about being on The View on her podcast recently. She said everything was scripted, heavily scripted. For their guests as well.

They would have to tone that down a lot to even begin to make it worthwhile for any conservative host to consider signing on to that show. Otherwise they would be muzzled the moment they stepped onstage.

They have an audience to maintain. Women with the schedule to watch a talk show during the middle of a weekday and disposition for it to be a loony lefty show.

I'm not sure how they keep that audience if they aren't feeding them echo-chamber leftism. And I'm not sure how they attract moderate or conservative viewers if they don't drastically reform.

So I expect they're struggling with a realization that they're in a cage of their own creation.
