One of the most -- amusing, I guess? -- examples of liberal hypocrisy is how they so often chastise others for being hateful by .... being extremely hateful.

Without projection, they got nothing.
Fixed it to be accurate.

Disney attorneys and accountants are right this second trying to figure out if the tax write off from **** canning her movie is more than what they'll make at the box office minus the cost of losing the Carano suit. Factored by Iger's ego of course.

The marketing department is also deciding whether to throw good money after bad. I'll bet they just let it bomb

There's definitely something behind this. No way it's a coincidence.

My take is that the progressive belief that "beauty is bad" is so ingrained they can't help themselves. They immediately identify with the weird, ugly or bland.

You see a similar phenomenon with models in fashion/advertising and actors in television commercials.

And architecture.

I wish they would swap her out for Ella Rose Emhoff. I might go see it then for the unintended comedy.

Definitely not written by her. This post uses capitalization and proper punctuation.

These girls need to remember that which they bring to the table is a young, nubile body that they undress to show us for money.

We have no interest in them otherwise.

Her "walk-back" from that article...

'Hatred and anger have caused us to move further and further away from peace and understanding, and I am sorry I contributed to the negative discourse.'

She's learned NOTHING. I read that as "Trump and the 50+% of Americans who support him are hateful, angry people, and in a small moment of weakness, I fell into their hate".

Short of a clear acknowledgement that the hate and anger is purely originated on the Dem side, I call that out for what it is... Just a bunch of meaningless words.

There's no way this movie won't flop and when it does, this poor stupid girl will blame it on racism and the patriarchy, saying that Andy's was just not ready for a strong female lead. She will have learned nothing and I'm willing to bet many in Hollywood will agree with her. They will continue to cast her and similar actresses in similar films and continue to make movies no one wants to see and then blame the audience for not gong to see actors and films they have already repeatedly told Hollywood they have no interest in seeing.

So basically another non-apology because she got so much backlash she had to.

Still didn't apologize to Trump or their supporters. Made an excuse of being upset.

I don't know why this should surprise anyone.

Disney's feminized Star Wars just had it's biggest bomb with The Acolyte. Like bombed so bad they publicly cancelled any notion of season 2. Looks like they're going to triple down with the next trilogy.

oh well.

As you saw over there, all the Disney movie makers are/were scrambling to leverage Rey because she's the only IP they have left in that universe from the main movies. While they haven't found themselves at Baylor, they have certainly found themselves left with no one to bank on. They need to just move on.

Dunno about Snow White but Wicked is widely expected to be a hit for Universal. Article in WSJ this morning notes it's made $5 billion on the stage since 2003. People are talking about it making Harry Potter numbers at the box office. The marketing will be ubiquitous like they did for Barbie. I'm sure they're trying to avoid politics.
Trump will fix it.

As I pointed out the other night, until SW/Disney wins back the young, male, audience, they should expect subpar returns. I then get personal attacks from the board Hollywood sheriff and a handful of middle age men still obsessed by childhood nostalgia who claim their young daughters love new SW. And maybe they actually do (doubt it) but it doesn't make my point any less true.

With 4 young grandkids, I know for a fact that none of them are in tune with anything Disney, past or present. In fact the oldest comes in and tells me that it's only 45 days until the sonic movie comes out, just to aggravate me. Then starts laighing when I tell them, oh hell no I'm not taking you to that movie!
