Quote:

Australia's political leaders have been told to get "back to basics" in the wake of Donald Trump's sweeping return to the White House, as a senior Coalition figure warns young men including his own son feel ignored.

There are lessons to be learned from the US presidential race, current and former politicians agreed on the ABC's Q+A Monday night, particularly on engaging with working class voters amid stubbornly high inflation.

Recent polling conducted by pollsters Talbot Mills Research shows a troubling split between young men and women in Australia and New Zealand.

Younger men in both countries prefer Mr Trump to Ms Harris, while support among young women is tiny.
"One of my sons said to me Trump was his hero," Senator Canavan said.
"I had never spoken about politics before and I was a bit shocked by it. But upon discussion, it became clear he … doesn't think there's anybody speaking to him or representing him."

Senator Canavan said his children are told about "the evils of masculinity and how terrible men are" in school and Australia had developed a "small-minded culture" which can "demonise masculinity".
"There's a much bigger groundswell there that we're not dealing with," he said.

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has drawn parallels between the US election and voter mood in Australia, echoing Trump's rhetoric on the distraction of identity politics.
"If you can't pay your mortgage and you can't pay your electricity bill … and you hear the government talking about the Voice and all of these sorts of issues, well you get angry and you respond," Mr Dutton told 2GB last week.
"I think when I see a government that is more interested in pronouns than they are people, it starts to become a real problem."
Well, let's see if Oz follows the US election pattern.

The US is the global leader and everyone knows it. Our vassal states will fall in line.

Aussie and New Zealand men need to take charge of their countries and shift their political focus away from the left. I'm glad they prefer trump…now do something about it!

I traveled extensively in Europe and Russia in 2018, and everyone that spoke of American politics to me liked Trump and thought he was good for the world. It surprised me. Our media is so awful.

This was absolutely the case in Australia in 2018-2020

Did a wine tour in Barcelona and there were a couple of Canadian women in their late 50's, maybe early 60's (near my age). They were fun and pleasant.

One of them mentioned something derogatory about guns in the US and I said, "well, if they didn't let in 10-20 million unvetted people I wouldn't feel the need to have one. One of them didn't like that a bit and it was "on".

Others in the group tamped it down and I let it go.

But then I couldn't resist asking about Pierre's apple chomping interview and if they liked him. As expected they didn't like him at all.

I prodded her to talk about it a few more times until the others said "NO POLITICS!"

You would not consider Australia or New Zealand to be very pro-immigration

During Covid, Australian males became a bunch of pathetic limp wristed c-words (rhymes with ducks). Batsh*t crazy progressivism is way more out of control there than it is here. And aside from the mullet wearing working class/country dudes, Aussie "men" had zero problem with it.

Can you even call people "men" if they willingly gave their guns away to the government? I vote "no".

C-words (rhymes with ducks).

I'm convinced that England is lost. They've gone too far down the road.
The best way to keep evil men from wielding great power is to not create great power in the first place.

Not surprising, some of the toughest men who ever fought were ausies and kiwis.

Aussie women dig Trump too.
Just not many of them and they'll cancel anyone who does.

Last time I was over there, the country was going crazy over a few hundred, yes HUNDRED, illegals coming in over a year.

As for the men over there, they handover their guns to the gov without a fight. That sums up Australians.

Both countries need some major overhaul. They've voted left for so long and the unfortunate consequences were on display for the world to see during covid.
