Whatever health issue he had, he has recovered nicely. I actually listen to him and respect his opinions now. It's somewhat refreshing to listen to a guy like him state an opinion in which I do not agree and actually respect the mindset and difference of opinion. And I have to say I am shocked to able to think that way about him.

After the stroke, his brain stopped allowing him to process what he hears, only let him process what he reads. So he carries around a tablet that is like closed captions on a tv, except for what people are saying to him live.

He says the only thing his brain really processes from an auditory standpoint is music he heard before his stroke, not even new music, just stuff he's listened to over and over in the past.

He's an interesting cat/odd duck.

Also, in talking about the stroke, he constantly went on about how the question in his mind was "could i be functional enough to still win the election?" He referred to that over and over on Rogan. Never once did he ask "could I be functional enough to do the job of US Senator?"

Serious question: How can you tell if it's speech difficulty or cognition? I got through 30 minutes of his Rogan interview and yeah it was rough. How can you tell if he just has trouble articulating or if his brain really is misfiring and his mental faculties aren't all there?
