I'm fine with it. After all the BS lawfare and weaponization the Dems threw at us the last four years, I say good luck and God speed.

I can remember way back two weeks ago when the talking point was "who is gonna wanna work for Trump" based on the argument nobody will want to work for a crazy man.

A few months back, I pondered if people would be willing to sign up for the law fare coming their way if they joined his team.

Looks like both of those were way wrong.

I've never been so fired up about appointments. It may all crash and burn, but at least it won't be without a fight.

Youth is the other one.

I have not run the numbers but so far I'm guessing some of his picks are the youngest ever in their positions by at least ten years.

Energy is not going to be an issue.

You have some older ones like Ratcliffe, Homan, and Huckabee. Some behind the scenes people like Wiles.

But Noem and Rubio are so far some of the more seasoned appointees and they are early 50s.

Not a complaint. Just an observation, I'm guessing right now his entire list is averaging in the 40s somewhere. Huckabee and Homan might pull the average into low 50s.

Picking what the other side wants creates more RINOS. Republicans lost their balls somewhere along the way and Trump is nominating a team with big ones.

Surrounding himself with fedup patriots that won't go quietly.

Ridding himself of the snakes (too many to name) & wimps (Pence, etc.).

If I were Trump, I'd tell anyone they find that is deleting files/records from now till inauguration day will immediately be put under investigation.

Agree for the most part, but Hegseth and Gaetz are gambles. Fired up to do good, but are they capable of actually executing? We need some tacticians in there somewhere. Hopefully these guys can find some to help them out.

Just FYI....there is now MAGA coalition for the future. There are conservative ideals that have needed to be moved beyond the places where they have remained stagnant. Populism isn't a coalition. It allows for things to change as the wind blows. People can throw around the term RINO at everyone that doesn't think exactly like them but the conservative agenda has not changed.
The people selected are Trump sycophants mostly and the only reason some were selected was to repay their fealty to Trump. Good at messaging? Matt Gaetz? Good grief. The guy is a rich playboy who loves to get plastic surgery and be in the news.

We have control of Congress now and that will help with the key things we want, improved economy, immigration reform etc, but to think bipartisanship won't happen is silly. People like to think that since Trump won, the Dems will have zero say in anything because they will always say they want the opposite. That's just stupid. There are many things that both parties agree on and will work together to implement. A very simple example is funding to replace lead pipes so peoples drinking water isn't killing them. No one disagrees with this. To think there's a vast opposing chasm on everything is to be ill informed about the workings in Washington.

Libs don't play by the rules. Many of them hate us.

Like it or not, we need to ruthlessly wield power to achieve the results and reforms we need. Period. They would do the same thing if they could.

I'm not talking about violating the Constitution, but the social compact in America is broken between the left and the right. We no longer share core values.

Anybody on the left or in the GOP-e who thought that 4 years of joining forces to attack Trump and foment a coup from within the executive branch, followed by 4 years of relentless lawfare trying to bankrupt and imprison him would make him come back and be a kindler, gentler guy picking bipartisan nominees to fill his cabinet is delusional. This is the end result of stealing an election, weaponizing government, and trying to destroy the lives of anybody who dared to support Trump. The next 4 years are not going to be all kumbaya...they are going to be about draining every last corner of the swamp, gutting politicized bureaucracies, and putting a big MAGA mushroom stamp on the executive branch agencies. These are the people that Trump needs working for him to make that happen. He won a mandate in this election and this is what it takes to put that mandate into effect.

This thinking is too simple and you seem ill informed about the workings in Washington. While we may all agree that lead pipes are bad, what WON'T happen is wrapping/weaving some dumb DEI/woke crap in with the head-liner of the "Clean Drinking Water" bill and then REEEE-ing when the bill doesn't pass. Then claiming the Rs blocked the bill and thus support toxic drinking water…

ETA… In his naivety, Trump appointed more Swamp Creatures last go round, unwittingly surrounding himself with RINOs/enemies. For better or worse, this time he's at least trying something different. We'll just have to see.
