...and IMO that could be a game changer.

Being a candidate is an ego-driven process which Trump has relished.

There's no guarantee of his actions, decisions, responses based upon the past.

The ego it takes to claim another's ego is too large is quite ironic.

And yet the MSM has said it about him from the beginning.

I'm looking forward to watching him.

FWIW, from the tone of your post it seems you think I'm judging Trump's ego? LOL, no more than any other politician's.

Not being a candidate anymore is a huge asset for him. For example, I'm confident his reaction to Covid would have been different in 2020 had he not had to be concerned about winning an election. Now, with 4 years of experience followed by 4 years of observation and reflection, Trump is poised to be societally changing POTUS.

I believe the country will look considerably better in four years than it does now.

Old timers on Texags know that I ascribe to much of the Strauss/Howe generational theory. Trump is right on time to be our "gray champion" who leads us out of this 4th turning to the next "Springtime in America: 1st Turning.

trump as the gray champion is an astute observation and i know he can make what's coming less painful than the alternative, but we are going to have to experience the pain we have earned to truly move on to the next cycle. i am thankful trump is our ship captain during these potentially tumultuous times.
