The best thing that could've happened is happening. Had he won 2020 he'd have been hamstrung by Congress and disinformation. Now he has free range to actually fix this country and put the rest of the world on notice. Peace out progressivism!

But let's keep in mind Drump is a horrible candidate and would never win. People just don't like him.

Was thinking about that his the other day. If he gets to replace Sotomayor it will be a huge Oh Crap moment for the dems after the shenanigans of the 2020 election.

Absolutely. We didn't have the clean sweep, but just as if not more importantly we didn't have the mindshare. This cycle we have a clear mandate and the largest base in Republican history, including lots of open-minded roughly centrist big hitters in very strong lib industries like tech, podcast, etc. Absolutely incredible backfire on the libs.

The Marxists did catastrophic damage to this country. There's a lot of damage that will be very hard to undo. The 15+ million illegals for one.

Tom Homan is a bad ass. But I don't see him deporting 3-4 million illegals per year, do you?

Public will to deport criminal aliens is at an all time high. Trump now knows his enemies want him dead and will never like him.

Sounds like he is about to fire everyone, and make real change!

If Bill Clinton can deport 12M, Trump and Tom Homan can do at least that as well.

Can't argue. I was ****ing furious in 2020 when Biden "won" but I think it ended up for the better, IF we can deport millions of illegals. If we can't get the illegals out, we will have a serious problem unless Trump and the Rs can find a way to win them over.

The R's did have an R clean sweep in 2016. They lost it in 2018 and he was ruthlessly harassed by the Dem House his last two years. But he had it all for his first two years.

I thought the premise of the OP was 2020? Re-reading OP, it does say 2020 so your statement is confusing as that is what I was responding to.

In any case, the momentum and base now seems to layperson me significantly larger than anything we had in 2016. Some don't like that but the shift to center, America first, nationalism, and common-sense is vastly different than what the D's were selling this time around.

Could not agree more. In 2016, we had an indecisive Trump, feeling his way, being betrayed, being attacked, not knowing who were his supporters and who are his betrayers.

He has had four years to figure it out his agenda and plan.

Now those plans are being put in place. A very confident Trump putting in people that can not only be trusted but knowledgeable to complete what Trump wants to do.

Ok, I thought you were referencing the first time he was elected in 2016.

I fully agree he's better positioned this time to drive his agenda.

Needs to be careful not to pull too many R reps from the House to serve in his administration and leave the House majority open for capture by the Dems in special elections for replacements... very narrow margin.

The Rinos fought him the first two years. Remember Paul Ryan? They were all in on Russia Russia Russia.

Yep, that combined with the lack of a popular vote win, was part of the baggage that constrained him in 2017.

And frankly, even his behavior of lashing out at everybody. He's matured a bit over eight years, even for an old guy.

2025 will be different... "it ain't gonna be like it used to be!"

It depends on how you count … I don't really know which is real but I recall Cruz citing the 12M number in a debate.

"According to an analysis by the Migration Policy Institute, more than 12 million people were "deported" either removed or returned from the US during the Clinton administration. More than 10 million were removed or returned during the Bush administration. Far fewer more than 5 million were removed or returned during the Obama administration"

Been saying this since the election. The last 4 years weren't fun, but Trump has the keys to the castle now. He house the HoR and Senate, and this time congress won't shy away because of some Russia BS. He will also likely appoint 2 Supreme Court Justices when Thomas and Alito retire, plus the chance of replacing Sotomayer.

What Trump has done with the Court will bring Conservative, Originalist rulings for the next 30 years!
