Maybe this is how Elon maintains control over his companies. Whenever they're working on something where he would have to recuse himself Vivek can step in. Of course Vivek can step in much more than that, but at the minimum, this could resolve the bias problem.

I doubt 8-6 will work. even with an hour lunch break that's 45 hours. and you know how the government workers unions will attack that.
