Nothing will prevent Paxton from doing a great job! If the baggage didn't deter him as Texas attorney general, there's no reason to think it will deter him as attorney general of the United States!

Here's my concern about Paxton's nomination for AG and that hinges on who is Senate Majority Leader.
My understanding is there is no love lost between Paxton and Cornyn. Confirmation scheduling could become an issue if it's Cornyn.

From what I understand Susie Wiles can't stand Paxton. We'll see if this actually happens. Yesterday at this time Kash Patel was going to be head of CIA and that obviously didn't work out.
