Can someone sell me on Rubio? I've never been very impressed. He got completely exposed in 2016. What makes him stand out?

Well Trump completely ruined him politically 8 years ago and since then he has permanently known his place. He's well spoken, smart, calculated, doesn't create division, and will be a good representative as the world's top diplomat.

About Rubio? He was never my favorite or cup of tea but I also never put him in the Romney/McCain type of camp.
I'm spending way too much time following college football because I passed over this thread multiple times reading it as "Rubio strength of schedule".
