Texas monthly is responsible for the dumb ass Sausage Kolache/Klobasnik argument. The bakery they originated at had them under Kolache. They're successfully building the answer for that but few are noticing. They're owning school board after school board elections in conservative areas like a cancer. How the heck did I not know about this site? I've been looking for Texas political news without having to wade through the left-propaganda BS. Looks awesome at first glance.

'The Texan' states it is basically an opinion-free Texas politics website, so no BBQ stories etc which it seems they could get into if needed for more interest. The other ones do a decent job with the frilly stuff so.....

It's always about crafting a strategy to manipulate morons and use them as pawns, never about doing what's best for the people. They'll never truly grasp why they were defeated.

Here's the thing about using trans issues as campaign fodder - Studies have repeatedly shown anti-trans ads or campaign messaging is not effective in moving voters in favor of the candidate using that messaging. Ted Cruz can point to all the money he spent on anti-trans ads and claim they contributed to his victory, but it was a race he was going to win regardless.

We can contrast that with an actual competitive race, Texas Congressional District 34, where there was also a ton of anti-trans messaging being used by the incumbent, Republican Mayra Flores. It was as significant a portion of her messaging as it was for Cruz, but unlike Cruz, Flores lost to her Democratic opponent.

What Hinojosa is trying to do is deflect from all of his widespread failures by blaming the losses on these two single issues. As a glaring example of his intentional blindness on the issues, he should have taken a look at Harris County where Dems got hammered on the issue of crime and "catch and release" in the criminal courts.

They do a lot of polling on progressive issues and have a pretty strong record of accuracy. Crosstabs are at the bottom of the page so you can see their methodology for yourself.

A left-wing think tank? Will have to consider the source on that one. Also appears to be a REALLY white poll weighted towards Dem voters. And that's not really a study. It's a poll.

Anymore "studies?" You said "repeatedly."

I hope the left keeps living in denial of how people feel about these extreme stances on social issues.
