If National Voter ID ever happens, it will make things more red, which is why the left will never allow it.

It's always interesting to see just how much of our population is concentrated in such few areas.

Massachusetts only has blue counties tho so wouldn't that make them a blue state?

... and Oklahoma.... the only red state.

Maybe it should. You know, in the name of climate change.

Yeah, that blue has to account for more than half of the US population.

Kinda nuts, but Harris only got 54% in Bexar County.

But that shouldn't even be considered. The union should end the same month such an abolition is imposed (unless by true amendment---even then, probably some states should just leave)

couldnt agree more.

we can discount it as land, but that land is populated by little towns. And those little towns make up the vast majority of our country.

We can never allow limited population centers to control the entire country. Our founding fathers knew this.

We should allow county secession. Don't like being ruled by a blue city? Neighboring a red state? Get 3/5 of your county to request realignment and approval by the red state and you're in!

Wouldn't surprise me if Alaska was all red and Hawaii all blue either.

Even Maui this round? Would have thought not. But with Hawaii as the NYC of the state it wouldn't impact if it did.

That blue area isn't getting all Democratic votes but very large cities (NYC , LA, Chicago) can control a state. Luckily Texas is big and we have multiple mid size cities that help offset. And Houston is closer to 50/50.

You got my curiosity up. Yes, there is a lot of empty land, and a lot of concentration of population.

I like playing with numbers, perhaps others will be amused, too.

US Population : 331,450,000
Contiguous US Population (lower 48): 328,571,000
Texas Population: 30,500,00
Harris County: 4,835,000
Randall County (my home, includes Canyon and southern Amarillo): 140,750
Armstrong County (next county to the west, much of it taken up by Palo Duro Canyon State Park and the JA Ranch: 1,848

Won't bore you with all the math, which might be wrong. But here's what I got for population densities per square mile.

Harris County - 2,833
Randall County - 154
Texas - 107
Contiguous US - 105
All US - 87
Armstrong County - 2

Total US as crowded as Houston: Population: 1,103,524,325

Total US as crowded as Armstrong County: 7,619,050

The problem is that when we think of a "state" we think of Texas or Oklahoma (size).
It is high time that all "states" in New England should be considered a single state, for electoral and congressional districting.

That Maui vote should tell you something about the liberal mindset.

Those people were left to fend for themselves by the Biden Administration when the island burned. And yet they still turned up to vote for Harris.

Live in one of only 3 blue counties in KS. Rich Liberal white women making it difficult to not move voting in liberals in the county boards, school boards, and other small local races. And my local house district didn't even run a candidate for GOP this cycle. I think when they redistricted to keep the supermajority they decided to punt my district and not waste money on it.

This post made me look, fortunately the GOP is getting more registered voters than the DEMS are state wide.
