Indian Americans and Pakistani Americans are very culturally conservative.

Pakistani Americans are Muslim.

Indian Americans are Hindu.

They are culturally conservative people that believe in educational merit, close family values with multi generation living, respect for law enforcement, and conservative social values around stuff like DEI, CRT, and LGBTQ.

Why would they vote Democrat?
Not sure, but the same can be said about Hispanics and they vote Democrat 70+%.

I have never known a Hispanic that was not hardworking, do almost any job for their family, fiscally conservative, and very Catholic. Yet, historically they vote democrat.

I will say on the Hispanic side, the Democrats use Spanish radio to brainwash the hell out of the common man. I remember when Bush was running, in 2004 I guess, there was a Spanish radio at work and all I could make out was this giant rant and Bush this and Bush that. I asked one of the guys what he said, and he was just spouting lies about Bush. This wasn't even Spanish talk radio. It was the DJ just going off between songs.

I said I wasn't sure how they vote, but that friends moved cause it was getting out of hand in Ft Bend.

Maybe it is the Downtown folks that moved out along the Westpark Tollway.
There was a huge lurch rightward by Hispanics this election They are the ones keeping Texas Red. You may want to get updated.
Yes, great to see, but I said they HISTORICALLY vote 70% Democrat.

One election barely puts a dent in that.

You want me to update?
Ok, Hispanics vote Democrat 69.999+ % of the time...

If we get 3 elections in a row, then we might say the tide is turning.

Latinos voted 55 percent Republican in the election in Texas just a few days ago.

Buy my house
Why would you sell?

Beautiful house, zoned to the best schools in Montgomery ISD, and located in one of the lower traffic areas of the county. Also an incredible amount of commercial, retail, and good food options are being built to your north on 105.

Don't have to answer. Just don't understand why anybody would sell that house unless they were non-remote and their job moved out of state or to a different city. Or if they had to move to a different state or city to take care of a sick family member. I have always thought of that area as the perfect suburban rural mix.

East Montgomery has a big Muslim population.

The Mosque I drive by everyday to go to work, is always packed for noon prayer.

Also a lot of Hispanics live in East MoCo and let's not forget, they to have strong family values.
Exactly.

So why did Montgomery go 45.54% for Trump and Fort Bend go 1.39% for Kamala?

Hindus, Muslims, and Latinos are very culturally conservative.

Do they still think that Democrats are the party of John Whitmire/90s Clinton instead of really being the party of Kamala/Walz/Joy Reid/Kendi/Coates/Bernie/AOC/Warren/Newsom/Chris Murphy?

Are there still our resident idiot posters on here doing non sequiturs completely missing the point about the quantity of republican votes that came from Montgomery county vs percentage?

Perhaps they also mentioned something about a Dairy Queen and what farmer Brown ate for breakfast?

Who is Kamala Harris? The name seems vaguely familiar.

OK. That makes sense.

The new Texas Republican Chairman is Indian American.

He was just elected a few months ago.

I believe he will work on better outreach to Indian Americans and Pakistani Americans from the Texas GOP.

I believe the great outreach by the Texas GOP to Latino Americans in the late 2010s and early 2020s has led to two straight cycles of amazing results at the top of the ticket:

2022: Abbott/Patrick/Paxton won by 11 points

2024: Trump won by 14 points and Cruz won by 9 points (despite having $150 million spent against him)

There are two specific reasons why Fort Bend has become a wannabe Harris County.
1. Huge Black population. 20% Black and many of them work in the government (think City of Houston) and healthcare. Two industries that are overwhelmingly Democrat.
2. Huge Indian population. Although they are culturally conservative, they overwhelmingly work in tech and healthcare. Also two industries that are overwhelmingly Democrat. In addition, they are the "skilled legal immigrants", so they feel like they owe the US government for giving them work visas, green cards, etc. Second generation Indians that live there are highly "educated" (indoctrinated) so they effectively cancel out the few culturally conservative first gen Indians that would vote Republican.

Racial map of Sugar Land Area (FB County) based on 2020 census: Green is Asian (overwhelmingly Indian), red is Black, Pink is White, and Blue is Hispanic

The county is split by the Brazos River. East side is majority Liberals.
West side is typically Conservative. there is a larger population on the east side plus the liberals got control of county govt in 2020 and gerrymandered the precincts to where 3/4 are liberal,
It sucks to live in West FBC. we get damn little county services, including county law enforcement. Its over a 30minute response time now...sometimes longer. But Property values and taxes are blowing up.

Sadly home prices have gotten insane over the last couple of years. It is bad for both home buyers and home owners. Higher prices for home buyers and higher taxes for home owners.
