It has been glorious, GLORIOUS, to see their meltdown. They keep hyping themselves up that "this time it's going to be different". They are like Charlie Brown with Lucy and the football.

Their self-proclaimed "alt-right hating" mods, and delusional, leftist posters created an echo chamber that is extremely predictable.

Twice a week there is a screed on being a 4th, 5th,…..10th generation Texan and how the person writing the drivel is not going to give up on turning Texas blue because we were "so much better with Ann Richards as governor".

Most of the rest of the posts during a campaign season are about how they see so many signs in yards, and about how they are super-duper-extra-great people for wanting to vote blue.

Their humbling each and every time gives me life.

If anyone wants a good laugh, read that thread. OP is a woman completely flummoxed on how they can call an election early before all votes are counted. Multiple people try to explain the concept of 'math' to her, but it doesn't quite click.

Same here. I was permanently banned for literally posting a factual correction and wasn't an ass about it in the slightest. It was so weird I legitimately though it had to be a glitch.

Those people act as if it's everyone else that's in the bubble while they have created one of the most impenetrable bubbles I've ever seen. It's insane.

Venezuela would be a perfect place for them. It already has the socialist government they crave.

Hopefully they move there and give up their US citizenship (because who would want to be a citizen of a country that would select Trump for president) so they no longer can vote.

You remember when there were women who were radicalized online into becoming terrorists and joining ISIS? They posted videos of burning their passports before they flew to the Middle East. A few years later, after being nothing more than a broodmare married off to some other terrorist, they begged to come back to the US, only to find out there were banned.

A lot of these redditors reminds me of those people, they're true believers completely oblivious to reality.

Reddit employs bots to upvote Dem statements and downvote conservative statements so that all conservative comments drop to the bottom. This practice has been talked about on several podcasts I've listened to in the last week…

I have a sitewide permaban from Reddit for "promoting hate".

Apparently over the weekend there was a coup by the other moderators in r/Texas, and the two s***-heels that were running the place are gone.

After reading through the posts of the couple of mods acting as spokesmen for the board, here is what happened.

- Top level moderator wasn't doing much moderation, but was friends with the leftist, zealous mod (u/annatrashpanda; I'll call her ATP) that was running everything into the ground.


- ATP banned, according to one post, nearly 100,000 accounts over the years. Most of which were for violating their "Be Texas Friendly" rule, which is so subjective that it could be the equivalent to saying that something is "hate".


- When banning people, she would also mute them, which meant no one could reach the mod team via official means in which to ask about being umbanned. Several people had to DM individual mods to let them know what happened so that they could potentially be unbanned.


- At least one egregious ban that was related by these new mods was a police officer who, in a post said he was a police officer, was then banned, and asked ATP why he was banned. Her official response? "This is a pork free sub".


- ATP squashed dissent, and made her posts the top, stickied post in many political threads, 99.9999999% of which were dem/leftist.


- The new lead mods waited until the old lead mod that condoned all of ATP's bulls*** went inactive, and one of them claimed the new lead mod role, and kicked ATP from the mod team.



- New mods are actively unbanning most accounts.

That's nice, but I was banned from the sub in 2021 for saying there's no evidence that mask mandates reduced the spread of covid, so it's been a hyper liberal sub for years and I doubt this changes that.
