Elon lives in a boxabl house in Boca chica, though he just bought a massive compound in Austin

Boxabl houses are awesome. Especially for a deer camp or air BNB

My understanding is that he was renting in Lakeway, so maybe renting there versus owning a neighborhood near SpaceX is the difference of why he votes down there.

He just bought some properties in Austin for $35MM to build out for his family, don't know where he will officially reside down the road.

He had a smallish house like 1400 sq ft or something for a while down there where he was when working with SpaceX that is his nominal residence until he builds out the family home. He'll probably switch to that for tax purposes.

In Isaacson's biography, Musk bought a whole neighborhood by starbase, all small ranchers.

Elon and all the execs took a house. pretty funny that they were little cookie cutter ranchers.

How in the world is he not out in the middle of 10K acres somewhere with a yard full of Rottweilers and a high fence? Security has got to be a thing anyway for him doesn't it? His existence is getting more important every day.

Oh and I hope he votes everywhere he has a property.
