It's lose/lose for the Dems.

Take the money and you get made fun of for taking money from a guy you have been calling Hitler for almost a decade.

Refuse the money and be called out for not accepting his olive branch…
It's brilliant. Whoever's idea this was nailed it.

Put the Democrats in a lose/lose position and take a shot at the legacy media at the same time.

Just did some basic math on projected turnout nationwide.

155.5 million (not counting third parties) voted in 2020 Presidential election

It looks like we'll see turnout around 153 ish million for this one once everything is counted.

Right now the two major candidates are sitting at 144.6 million and California supposedly has around 6ish million left to count if the 63% est count is accurate. Then add in remaining ballots in AZ, NV, WA, OR, UT, and others.

Have any of your electoral predictions proven to be true this cycle?
I don't recall making any election predictions. I said that I would bet on Trump if forced to choose, but would not bet at the odds offered.

It seems weird and unlikely that we would have more votes during a world pandemic than 4 years later.

And ironically it will end up being about the number it took to flip the 2020 election. But, nothing to see here.

Strange deal where there are tens of thousands more votes for the Green party in the Senate race than the Presidential race or the combined House races.

Yeah Green really doesn't have a presence there. We know where they are stuffing some of Lake's votes

Were there even Green Party Senate and House candidates? Never heard a peep about anyone other than Jill Stein?

Its really weird and anomolous. The argument will probably be that republicans who hate Lake voted for the Green party, but does that really make any sense?

Not to me, it doesn't. I would have expected leaving that race blank would be the first reaction.

Green Party candidate was a guy named Eduardo Quintana. He's from Pima County. He ran as a write-in candidate for the primary and won despite others having their names on the ballot. Apparently has some support from the far left. Bernie Sanders type.

Some statewide propositions for Arizona have been called (selected):

  • Prop 139: Constitutional right to an abortion up to viability
  • Passed 60/40
  • Prop 314: Allows police to arrest migrants who don't cross at legal port of entry. Makes it a state crime for illegal immigrants to apply for state benefits.
  • Passed 63/37
  • Prop 133: Constitutionalizes partisan primaries (makes present primary system permanent)
  • Failed 57/43
  • Prop 140: Constitutionalizes open primaries. Requires ranked choice for general elections with more than two candidates.
  • Failed 60/40
  • Prop 313: Mandates life imprisonment without parole for certain child sex trafficking crimes
  • Passed 65/35

On Prop 313: Current AZ law has mandatory minimum of 13 years for someone with no criminal history up to life, minimum 25 years for someone with a prior felony conviction, and minimum 30 years for 2 or more prior felonies.

Thanks for the info. Arizona is weird. Too close to California I guess.

Bad news for Lake, but good news for AZ 6 in the latest Pima drop:

This is an approximation of where Lake stands based on the margin of the last three drops in Pima and Maricopa.

update for official ballot remaining numbers.

She needs at least one or two really good drops (like one of the early ones) to have a chance at this point. Looks like Republicans will come up less than 100k votes from 4 more seats...

We need new leadership to focus spending on the right races and I wish people would be smarter in primaries in AZ.

Sadly, it was a terrible day for Lake and the last Maricopa drop was awful.

Race has been called for Gallego by Decision Desk.

sorry, but seems fishy
(think it's the largest Trump margin of all the swing states)

And Florida, Montana, Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, etc?

For whatever reason Trump outperformed downballot republicans this year. Lake doing so in Arizona is part of that trend.

Sheriff Mark Lamb would have won the race going away.

Lake just turned off too many voters, especially those who still like McCain.

Also, running on 2022/revenge did not sit well with some Arizona voters.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Thanks Mitch for abandoning swing states to chase the white whale in Maryland. Such a putz. We have more work to do to clear out the trash. Hopefully we can recruit some bangers for 26 as we have more seats that we could flip in GA, NH, MI and VA. Need to defend NC and ugh Maine.

This.

People can say all they want about Lake, but if Mitch throws even a small % of the money that he threw away in MD toward her she wins this race.

I know a lot of Trump voters that couldn't bring themselves to vote Cruz. Did my best to convince them this year, but I'm not surprised he trailed Trump.

The Pravda consuming NPC bots without brains will go on and on about the quality of Lake as a candidate being the problem without any consideration of how much worse gallego is or how little Mitch supported certain R candidates.
