Resulting in maybe one US House flip and zero gains in the California legislature which will still have a Dem supermajority.

California Dems have used their data analytics buddies at big tech firms to produce the most effective gerrymandered map of all time.

It will be interesting to see how long this takes to play out…. 1-2 more days? 1 week? How many recounts?

We already knew it, but NBC just called Nevada for Trump, which officially puts him over 300. It's also an addition from his 2016 map, when he lost Nevada.

NV is complete BS.... 95% in and Trump leads by 48K with 72K left to count.

OVER

They just want to delay and quietly drop that 6 EV over the weekend so the 300+ is not news.

Brown is trailing and the outstanding votes are in areas that have favored Rosen. Trump is mathematically too far ahead for Harris catch up but enough people split ballots or voted for third parties in one or both of the races to put Brown too far behind.

Utah also went to mail in balloting and they're still struggling to count. It's so red that it doesn't matter.

MI, WI, AZ all went for Trump and all three also elected a dem senator (AZ not yet called for Gallego). Not sure why NV would be hard to believe.

It matches what the polling was leading up to the election. Brown was trailing Trump by a few percentage points even in the most GOP-favorable polls.

You can draw the lines too fine and have a bunch flip at the end of a cycle. We've seen that in Texas. The Republicans need to spend some time and money on boasting their vote in California. It's a long way from going red, but they could get in a position where they flip some of these districts at the end of the cycle and force dems to concede some seats next time around.

House update:

I expect Nebraska 2 be called this morning by AP for the GOP. Big hold in a district that Dems put a lot of emphasis on. Douglas County has about 15,000 ballots outstanding which include mail-in ballots received on Election Day and provisional ballots. GOP incumbent is ahead by 8300 votes but the Democrat is only winning Douglas County by about 3.5%. Democrat would have to win 78% of the outstanding ballot to barely take the lead and I don't see that happening.

NE 2 should have been called election night. It was a certainty before I fell asleep that Don was winning.

Trump lost the NE 2 electoral vote by about 11,000 votes.

The GOP US House incumbent in that district is ahead. One of those local races like ME 2 where people are splitting tickets.

This really pisses me off to no end.

Notice those ballots are not being "counted" nor "Tabulated" they are being "adjudicated."

Far different procedure that means votes can be flipped.

Back in 2020 in Fulton County, GA, Rich Barron, Fulton County election official, used the same term for 140,000 ballots being "adjudicated" and I hoped at the time that he just misspoke. But as we now know, he did not.

So when Sec of States use that term, they are not talking about merely scann and tabulating. They are talking about a procedure that is used to duplicate ballots and ballot images for spoiled ballots that whatever reason, can not be tabulated, Torn, stray marks, folds creating shadows, over votes, etc. Further when ballots are duplicated, they are supposed to be given a number so the original and the replacement ballot can be compared.

it is so amazing when you look at an actual map of district by district and county by county:

that the democrat party is simply the party on the far west coast extending inland 25 miles

and the far east coast extending 100 miles.

A big chunk of that is Cambria County. Their election day votes are being copied by hand and rescanned due to a ballot printing error. This is the county that a judge allowed to stay open until 10pm on election night. Everyone after 7pm was given a provisional ballot. McCormick is winning that county by 26% and that's before a lot of the in-person ballots have even been counted. His lead is likely going to grow once those are counted.

Doing napkin math, with 61% in Cambria reported there's about 29,000 left in that county. If percentages hold (and I think they may actually grow for McCormick) McCormick will gain by about 8,000 votes once those are all counted.

This would put his statewide lead at around 40,000 votes. That would leave around 70,000 statewide votes outstanding assuming none of these have already been rolled into the total.

Casey would have to win 79% of that outstanding vote to win. This isn't a Georgia situation where we have 80/20 districts out there with a bunch of outstanding votes. These are from all over the state. Philadelphia looks like they are done.
