This dude rescued this squirrel and kept it for seven years and built up a social media following around it that garnered enough interest and funds from around the world to start up and maintain a non profit animal rescue of around 300 animals. Then apparently someone or someone's made some anonymous complaints and they basically got SWATted for "unlawful possession " of the squirrel and a raccoon. No explanation of what happened to the animals afterwards, no warnings, no attempt to facilitate a fix. Nope. Just confiscated and killed them. Zero warning or chance of rebuttal or litigating. Search warrant issued and executed.
This is one of those things you just have to sit back and think, if the authorities do something like this…..how low is the bar? Truly? Granted this is NY. They are built different up there.
Also, I'm an unashamed animal lover. So just a major wtf all around.
