Sounds exactly like you with the dems. If this were Biden, Kamala, or anyone else saying this (and yes, they've all said FAR WORSE), you'd be the first defending them and explaining what they meant, or providing the full quote.

He was clearly saying if you send people to war, you may think differently if it was you in their shoes.

I don't always agree with how trump comes off or the exact words he uses. Nor do I need to "defend" him (there's nothing to even need to defend here). But if you aren't so brainwashed, you could see the actual point he makes rather than immediately going to faux outrage.

The House needs to subpoena her and Kinzinger... put them under oath and pick their agenda out ... have them answer for the dog and pony Jan. 6th committee.

Add Stretch Pelosi too if a sitting House member can be subpoenaed.

That doesn't mean we didn't learn our lesson from that debacle.

I don't think you would find many people on this site that would say, in retrospect, Iraq war was a huge F'ing mistake.

That would be a legitimate case of learning a hard lesson at a giant, unimaginable, heart-breaking cost. Not a flip-flop, as you are insinuating.
I think you meant to write "wouldn't say" instead of "would"

Of course Iraq was a mistake. One we all paid a price for, some more deeply than others.

Just curious what constitutes a "war hawk" and why Liz Cheney is being accused of being one. The connection seems to be her father.

Nine guns? What does that mean? That is reasonably interpreted as a firing squad. Guns pointed at her face? That does not sound like a battle scenario but more like a firing squad.

Agree Cheney was a snake. But I'll take W over Trump any day of the week and Reagan over both. The only thing that's going to move this country forward is the R's gaining majority in Congress. If the House is lost to the Dems and the Senate doesn't change, Trump will have a very hard time moving the needle with out compromise.

Everybody knows what Trump was saying. If Cheney was facing guns in HER face in the context of a military war, she probably wouldn't be such a warhawk. That's what he said in context and everyone who is not being fooled by the left knows it. Trump is always and routinely taken out of context in order to make him evil. The left has mastered the art of it. There is no truth in them.

In contrast, I don't think Biden's "garbage" comment was taken out of context. He meant what he said. He may have been thinking about just some of Trump's supporters, but even so, it was still insulting to Trump supporters and he meant it.

Cheney voted with Trump's position with about 93% of the time, which was more than many other colleagues. She voted against the first impeachment. Why didn't she "jump ship" then?

It was only after the events of Jan 6 that she decided she'd seen enough and voted for the second impeachment. So basically, Trumpers are against her because she called him out on his BS election denialism, claim she's a "warmonger" because her father is Dick Cheney and basically demonize her because she had the political courage to do what she felt was right, unlike most of the GOP who have grown spineless to criticize Dear Leader in the face of MAGA cultism.
