The talking points are that the miss is all due to the hurricanes and strikes.

Without those, the numbers would have been great, according to the media.

Except the big growth was government jobs, over 40k.

So were those jobs somehow not impacted by the same exact hurricanes?

Is this country better off than it was four years ago?

The surrender to the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Unchecked immigration of illegals, including known murderers, rapists and terrorists.

Yet another stimulus package, stimulating only the bank accounts of Democrats and, as predicted by Democrat Larry Summers and most other economists, triggering inflation.

A so-called Inflation Reduction Act, a spending package benefitting Green New Deal scams while doing nothing to tamper infation.

An FBI spending more time spying on Catholics and the Religious Right than it does tracking down drug cartels and Islamo-Fascist terrorists.

A DoJ more interested in throwing their political opponent in jail on Kangaroo Court charges than in pursuing leftist thugs for committing hate crimes against Jews.

An Executive Branch increasingly regulating its way into every segment of our lives, including mandating the vehicles we drive, the appliances we purchase in our homes and even the definition of who gets to compete in women's athletics so that mentally-insane men can take part.

A While House whose policies prolong conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine while empowering this nation's enemies in Iran, Russia and China to do their worst in destabilizing our allies.

A Department of Homeland Security that apparently can't be bothered, after several weeks, getting aid and recovery to anyone suffering from the impact of Hurricane Milton save their fellow Democrats in Asheville.

And now, a White House with a final economic exam producing a grand total of 12,000 jobs. Certainly a testament to traditional Democrat approaches to the economy.

We are in decline across the board at a level not seen since Jimmy Carter.

It requires a radical response against it at the ballot box.

Not true at all....there are probably zero registered voters who were charged-up to go to the polls who were going to be moved by this.

However, there are a ton of registered voters who viewed a vote in this election as a lick of a s***sickle and weren't going to and this is the sort of stuff that will make them go "ok, I can't just sit this out."

These numbers, however, convince me more-and-more that the people at the front of the DNC knew that they got over on the public with the 2020 election and did so to put a pair of incompetent boobs into place. Once it became obvious that Biden wasn't going to be able to hold on, they figured that the easiest way to reset things was to concentrate on the 2026 midterms and beyond b/c they were going to get way too much scrutiny in the 2024 election cycle.

The voting public is going to purge their party of Kamala Harris for good (like they did Mondale) and they'll never have to worry about her or Joe Biden popping-up and saying stupid stuff that will distract from the message as they'll spend the rest of their lives as punchlines.

Some of the strikes are being factored into it but even still that's pretty bad.

From a macro standpoint one of the side effects of boomers retiring en masse is we are seeing some capital leave the market as they try to batten down the hatches for retirement. The cost of capital is going to stay pretty high for a while. That's going to cut into private sector growth.
