It's a common refrain that the right is blowing up the issue of boys and men competing in women's sports and it's simply not that big a deal. The argument is it's so infrequent that it's really not an issue.

There's a current Title IX suit that is saying that.
Really enjoyed Megyn Kelly's recent interview with one of the suit participants that's actually on the San Diego State Volleyball team that do many schools are forfeiting to. She transferred to that team not knowing that they had added a male to the team.

I don't see why one cannot still bring it up. Cruz constantly hits those other issues.

The tide IS turning. A lot of these women are completely gaslit into going along to get along. We were all 18-20 once. I'm it's a very impressionable agree and these girls are told horrible lies about what will happen if they speak out.

Listen to Riley. She was threatened with being charged with murder if Thomas was killed or committed suicide. If they soak out they'll be black listed and never go to grass school, they'll never be hired. If they spoke out they were sent to reeducation. It wasn't until she was in dental school. She had started speaking out and it was taking more of her time. She told the school she needed to take time off for "family issues." The dean then told her... Riley, we know who you are. Do what you have to do. Your spot in this program will be here when life steers you back here.

I think it's 5 now with Nevada players refusing to play.

The reason it this won't change anytime soon is because the structure that runs leagues don't care if women choose to play or not. In fact, the trans with trans players are given an advantage because they are allocated automatic wins via forfeit.

Moving the game back to San Jose is a pathetic attempt to sweep the issue under the rug.

edit - It looks Nevada-Reno is really trying to play both sides of this and avoid taking a stand. They're saying no players will be punished for refusing the play the game, but they also claim they are forbidden by the state constitution from actually forfeiting the game. Some wording about discrimination based on "gender identity or expression".

You have to take into consideration the gaslighting that these young girls are going through. They're being told if you speak up you'll be branded as intolerant and uncaring. If you speak up, you're the problem. If you get seen as being intollerant or uncaring you'll never get into grad school. You'll never be able to get a job. You could lose your scholarship.

The threat of the scholarship is likely a very big deal for a lot of these ladies. They aren't in NIL sports. The overwhelming majority of these girls sports career will end with the end of their NCAA eligibility. They want to play, get their degree, and move on with their lives. Those threats are VERY real to an 18-22 yr old.

Riley Gaines is showing the way. She's proving those threats are empty. Now there is a Title IX lawsuit moving through the courts. One of the girls that has joined it is a current player on the San Jose VB team.

I think the tide is turning on this insanity.
