my wife has given me sh** about them forever but when the kids were little cargo shorts were so useful when you had to carry a bunch of stuff around and needed use of both hands.

I recently found these shorts at Costco made by Orvis that are more form fitting and more a dry fit material but they have side pockets that don't stick out. No complaints from the wife being seen in public with me wearing them.

In addition you can get as many as 3 cans of beer into each side pocket. Great for tailgating or just hanging out around the neighborhood. Cuts down on trips back to the cooler or back to the house.
