It seems to me that he would like this conflict to go on and on in low intensity rather than completely stop. Reason is he is getting paid by the US and maybe other sources for the war. He is making off like a bandit. Why would he want the faucet closed? As long as the Russians don't cause too much damage, he will be fine the way things are.

Pakistan was the same way. They did not want conflict in Afghanistan to end. Why? Because they made money. Our foolish dumbass Presidents believed those terrorists in Pakistan and kept shipping them money as "our ally in the war on terrorism".

Putin and Zelensky or however his family spells it, are in this together. They are bank rolling the American taxpayer dollar while simultaneously laundering it for US politicians. Billions into their bank accounts. Putin kills some. Zelensky then takes his turn of killing. Coordinate this with the media and Americans go further in debt while building more chaos.

If Texas was invaded by Mexico, would you all be happy with just half of Texas needing to cozy up to the Cartels, or would there still be a strong desire to get them the hell out of your country, even if it wasn't going that way?

The question was if Zelensky wants the war to end.

I'm sure almost every soldier and their families want the war to end immediately. Unfortunately, the people who bleed in the war are rarely consulted about the need for the war to stop.

Right, but under what conditions? This isn't just two friends in a dispute that just need to settle their bickering, this is literally the fight for their countries existence against a country that just keeps piecemealing what they want from them every few years . I'm not saying it doesn't need to end, but it also isn't going to just end. This will either continue now, or start back up in a few years after Russia retools.

Iraq and Afghanistan are over. The US has at least funded, at worst, fought, other countries wars since WWII.

I would think it was very much in the interest of our enemies (China, Russia, Iran, etc) that the US takes on the defense budget of Ukraine with no end in site.

Russia doesn't seem to mind bleeding their own young men. I am sure Putin absolutely loves bleeding American treasure.

Stop sending them money. Whatever else happens, who cares?

I don't know and frankly we, as non-Ukrainians and non-Russians, can't know. We don't know what grudges the different sides have, nor the amount of fighting will there is, or what any of the sides want.

To me it looks like Zelensky and Putin, who are in the positions of power, are happy to continue to feed their soldiers into a nonproductive meat grinder of a war. Something or someone has got to change that.

I've read this analogy a few times and it always strikes me as ironic that it is now Democrats, the war party ticket, who are supporting the invasion/take-over of the US by our southern neighbor populations/gangs. They don't just want an open border, they are flying them all over the country to be settled from their home countries. Again, just sort of a level of irony I never expected to see.

Their mouthpieces in the 'press' are reduced to 'well it's not that many apartment complexes the Venezuelan/Mexican gangs are taking over.' So no, the folks running the Democrat party have no interest in ending either the proxy war in Ukraine or the invasion of the US.

"It" being my post has to do with this because the war party (Democrats) want the war in Ukraine and the invasion of the US to continue, and Zelensky is just a puppet of the US State Department. It benefits their business partners in China/Russia to a great degree.

Soros/Xi/Putin etc. want the world leveled in rights and wealth to a tremendous degree. Democrats support this. Zelensky is merely a pimple on the butt of their efforts.
