Joe gets along with people all across the spectrum, that's part of his appeal. But his catch is you have to be at least somewhat genuine. Not that it's explicitly laid out, it's just the way he conducts these conversations necessitates that the person across the table let's their guard down if they want it to go well for them.

Kamala might quite literally be the most disingenuous person to ever hold a spot this powerful in the zeitgeist, which is not something I say flippantly at all. It would be a disaster for her. And not because Joe would even have to go after her or press her at all, in fact I think he would be more hesitant to than you think. His facial expressions would be enough in itself. It's a square peg in a round hole. They might as well not even speak the same language because in a different but very meaningful way, they don't.

To put it another way, it's never a good strategy to to further highlight your biggest weakness by putting yourself in an environment where the only other person in the room is on the complete opposite end of that particular spectrum. Joe, if nothing else, is genuine. Kamala is about as empty as a human being can be. That contrast by itself would make it nearly impossible for her to look good in that setting.

That being said, I hope like hell she's dumb enough to try.

I'm sure Rogan holds opinions he disagrees with, which of course has nothing to do with being genuine. Someone can disagree with me on 95% of issues but still be completely genuine.

I don't care what anyone thinks of the guy. But to call him fake or not at least giving him credit with fundamentally shifting media consumption is just internet keyboard dumbassery without any real critical thinking at all. Objectively has changed a lot in this world for the positive regardless of your opinion of him or how much you agree/disagree with some/all of his stances on certain issues.

He did say it makes people lazy. However, he also thinks we will still need it because of AI. His position is basically "we'll need UBI but we also need to find a way for people to find purpose in their lives to offset the negative impacts to society that may come with UBI since it does make people lazy slobs". Which is pretty lefty utopia goofballness. Again, I like the guy and agree with him a lot, but he is not really against UBI. He thinks it will be a necessity and wants to find a way to "treat" the downsides that come with it.

Star power isn't going to help her in fact it may hurt her. She's trying to convince working class men that she's a serious candidate with a platform that's going to improve their lives. Spending all your time acting like a star and hanging out with stars is a turn off for serious people with serious lives and real concerns about her ability to do the job.
