Reminds me of Mexico

People just need to quit visiting New York City. If the tourism dollars fall off a cliff, maybe they'll finally decide to do something. With all the locals that have moved to other parts of the country to avoid high taxes, crime, and Democrat tyranny, if the same happens with the tourism dollars they're going to be in a huge financial bind.

You should know....

I'm weird I guess and still really enjoy visiting NYC, even today. Know where you're going and don't stick out like a lost tourist are the only things you need to do, much like most any major city…but with that said, I've never felt more unsafe than walking downtown San Francisco at night 5 years ago… I couldn't imagine what it's like now.

Anyway **** these migrant gangs though. Or any gang for that matter.

I'm in an Uber driving through Times Square as I type this and NYC is as packed as I've ever seen it.

If I only read F16, I would be too afraid to leave the house.

Was just there Thursday through Monday, alone with my 11 year old daughter. We saw 4 broadway shows, which meant walking through and around Times Square at least 8 times, including late at night. Did not witness nor were we the victims of any crimes.

You'd think a mom and a young girl walking alone would be a prime target for those looking to commit robbery, but maybe we flew under the radar because I know where I'm going and don't gawk and wander around like a lost tourist.

I've gone to NYC 2-3 a year for the past 12 years and never have I seen it as crowded as it was this weekend. I don't know if it was the great weather or what, but we were all over - West Village, downtown, midtown, Central Park, Times Square, on the subway, and the crowds were truly insane.

I'm not a lib, but the narrative that no one in NYC is safe or that the tourism industry in the city is hurting because of safety concerns just doesn't appear accurate to me.

Yeah, NYC is def not hurting for tourism dollars, however, according to my anecdotal evidence, crime, homelessness, etc is def way up. And trending in the wrong direction..
