Apparently the teachers were putting "sleepy time" stickers on what appear to be kindergartners.

They're looking at real hard time for that. Assault, repeated injury to multiple minors, conspiracy. ****. What is wrong with people?

Control your kids or teachers will…..it is sort of funny if you think about it.

Like I said on the Houston page, Home school your kids, solves a lot of problems.

Nobody calls the cops when you do that to your own kids.

Read recent story of a dad doing it to a bunch of kids at a sleep over at his house. Put something like benadryl in 3 kids smoothies.

Plead down to 2 years in prison and 3 years oversight following.

Feel like teachers need to have an even stricter punishment, but will be surprised if they get more than a year.

Though they belong in jail, I think the two teachers were looking for an easy way to manage the kids. What you describe with the dad and the kids on a sleep over sounds much, much more sinister.

This is the equivalent of a mouse jiggler, but for teachers.

So teachers used classroom allotted funds to order drugs off the internet which they then administered to children in class without their parents' consent?

You would be shocked at the number of daycare that quietly give kids benadryl at nap time

But if you did it to my kids someone would need to call the cops, and the coroner

Well, they are SUPPOSED to take those stickers off the kids before they send them home to avoid all that parental hassle.

A daycare owner in Waco did this and it killed the infant granddaughter of one of the local judges. She's in prison now.

The left learned long ago to be the ones running education. They run nearly every level. These types of things are the results.

This may be largely true, but there are still some conservative districts out there. You have to look for them though.

but your dad probably would have had a problem if a public school teacher government employee drugged his kid to put you to sleep without his permission, I'm guessing?

Teachers didn't need to drug the kids to get them to nap; kids were terrified of the teachers back then.

Any proof (imagined or otherwise) that all this uproar isn't over simple band-aids the teachers told the kids that would help them go to sleep?

Or, perhaps these?

What if, instead of patches, the teachers had an essential oil diffuser and played calming music?

I agree, if the teachers were drugging the kids, they should be left out to dry. But if they were just creating a calming atmosphere for nap-time, I don't believe they need to lose their jobs.

Yes. One of the kids wore the sleep aid patch home, which is how this whole thing got exposed.

That was discussed in the first 45 seconds of the video in OP. CM is in here trying to gaslight in defense of people giving kids drugs without parental permission.

Someone didn't watch the news report with the interviews...

This was not essential oils and relaxing music. They were giving them patches with melatonin and L-Theanine. These parents had kids up all night long (past 2am) and not eating because their sleep cycles were jacked up and they were experiencing side effects. While these are technically supplements, it is not a teacher's place to give them to kids and still a huge no-no. They can't give them ANYTHING. Any medication, even OTC meds or supplements, goes through the school nurse. End of story.

They need to lose their jobs, and they need to go to jail.

Unfortunately if you know anything about daycares, this kind of thing is shockingly common

I have a friend whose toddler was killed by a daycare provider drugging her with Benadryl. My friend never even suspected. Unbelievably heartbreaking. The investigation showed that the lady had been doing the same to every child in her care, every day. She got life in prison, but it was one of the few cases where I think capital punishment was certainly warranted.

It's Pre-K. Kids were 4. Plenty still have nap time at that age. Hell, I remember still having a nap/quiet time in kindergarten. We all slept on those little red and blue kindermats.

I'd recommend just calling 811. It's a simpler process. Typically requires 2 business days head start, but in this situation i think an emergency locate would be in order.

Guy could've just wanted a good night's sleep instead of a bunch of kids keeping each other up. Ours (3 & 7) wanted to sleep in the same room over the summer, and that was an abysmal failure. They had each other going for an hour after bedtime before we finally pulled the plug on the experiment and put them in their their respective rooms. They'd have been up all night if we'd left them together.

Can they hand them out on flights so we can slap them on kids as we walk down the aisle to our seats?

To be fair, I rarely watch videos when I am at work and overall I'd much prefer an actual article to read versus a video.

But I also tend to read the whole thread because most of the times things like this happen and my questions are already answered.
