That too. People can complain about government all they want but ultimately it's just a reflection of the people. And the kind of Americans that made this place unique are fading away. You can take the football players from Rice and put them in Alabama's uniforms and on Alabama's field but they won't be Alabama. (Hey, maybe that's what happened though this past weekend, haha!).

But we have, in spite of some good characteristics, without question the softest group of young people in human history (that's no exaggeration, has quality of life ever been more comfortable for any group of humans than Americans of the last few decades?) combined with an enormous influx of people, both legal and illegal, with absolutely no historical or cultural connection to this country at all.

All we can do is to try to drag this out a bit longer.

I disagree completely with the OP premise. The depths to which this Administration and our government agencies have driven this economy and country are beyond belief already.

I told my wife tonight, after hearing some snippets in regard to Harris' Media Blitz with Friendlies,

if American Voters decide that because they hate Trump and / or Republicans enough to vote for the most inept pair of candidates in American presidential politics

then the Republican Party has no future as the demographics will increasingly grow to favor the Democrats. We will never see another Republican President or many if any Republican majority House of Senate years,

Thus, our retirement will become that much more difficult after working diligently all of our lives and saving for our post-65 years. Only to see our income taxed greater and greater.

When the generations post-Baby Boomer finally recognize the error of their ways, it will indeed be too late.

This country as we know it is already doomed. It is just a matter of time.

I hope you are wrong. But you can't take a look at where this country has gone since the days of Woodrow Wilson and deny the logic of the argument.

We have slowly accepted tenets of socialist governance our great-grandparents and their forebears would have found absolutely repugnant for a free people to allow.

We are now allowing in third world illegals committed to the idea that government should provide them with their meals, clothing and residences free of charge.

Our education system creates a new breed of American who also accepts the idea that government should be all things to all people.

The only factors stopping the deluge of delusional absolutist government are the mechanisms our Founding Fathers set up in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and the shared memory of a segment of the American population. That shared paradigm continues to value individual rights, a free market economy and a limited government against the increasingly Maoist designs of the American left. It saved us in 1952, 1981 and again in 2016. But the margin for defeat grows smaller with every obvious socialist challenge to the great nation left to us to protect.

It may well be a losing battle at the end of the day. Problem there is that when people do wake up and realize there is no success, security or freedom in Statism except for those controlling the state, it will be too late to use an electoral process to reverse the error. Our Republican form of governance will be destroyed by those for whom centralized government is the be and end all of society. Those who try to vote or demonstrate it out will be treated as Mao, Maduro or Stalin treated their enemies.

Young people suffering from nihilism due to lack of ownership in society (both materially and socially) tend to vote for socialism. Kamala screws our economy even worse, resulting in more young people embracing the nihilism that comes with it. Ergo, we have more people willing to vote for ****ty policies because Kamala just didn't go far enough left.

Hopefully any Supreme Court justice that went on the bench during her tenure would die the moment she left office.

A Harris administration would be disasterous for this country, even if Repbulicans manage to keep control of the House, Senate, or both.

As Obama/Biden has shown, Democrat Presidents are all too willing to use illegal Executive Orders to get their way, even if they know they will get overturned by the courts months or even years down the road. If they can't defeat/change the Constitution, they will do what they have to do to go around it.

Also, hard left Democrats will never admit the failures of Marxism/Communism. It will always be blamed on those opposing it if things don't work as planned. It will always work the next time.

OP, that is a naive position. The left will use its propaganda arm to make the low information voters feel good about the fact that they're still free and beating racism. They can hide enough economic data, kick the can and blame shift potentially for a decade or more. To think these people are going to get a fair and accurate information source and properly assess the administration is laughably absurd.

Next, the Dems will pass a law to tax unrealized gains to make our society more "equitable". They want to take what you have worked hard for. What a Kamala victory means is demonizing the political opposition and conducting law-fare works, that "securing an election" through ballot harvesting and allowing non-citizens to vote works.

Forget how bad the policies will be. If the current formula for the establishment to elect their chosen candidate actually works, then it'll keep being used.

THIS is the establishment's last death throes. If they win, then we're stuck with a military industrial complex that pursues war for profit and uses foreign influence at the expense of its citizens to fill its coffers.
