Burnet CISD Safety Update for 10-7-24

Good evening BCISD Staff and Student families

BCISD:
We are aware of and deeply concerned by a threatening incident late this morning at a local church. No threats have been made towards the school community, but to be cautious and to promote a sense of safety and wellbeing, additional officers from both Burnet Police Department and the Burnet County Sheriff's Office will be on campuses tomorrow, October 7th. Our student and staff safety is of utmost importance, and we are thankful for the partnership with our local law enforcement to ensure our community remains united and safe.

One thing we know is we've let terrorists in. We're not a serious country. We'll wait until the next 9/11 happens then we'll get real serious for a while, laws will change, then we'll drift back to not being serious again.
