Wait! What? I thought the Constitution guaranteed you a speedy trialby your peers...by impartial jury
You thought there was a chance trial would be before November 5?Ag87H2O said:
Indefinite delay = any time after November 5th.
Quote:
The filing states Routh's defense attorneys did not oppose the government's request to indefinitely delay his trial date.

But you can waive that right, as Routh has apparently done .
No, I should have stated there won't be anything before November 5th. An indefinite delay in the trial means in all liklihood no hearings, and certainly no reporting by the media. Everything about this assasination attempt will go into the proverbial black hole until after the election. The left will not let anything that might show Trump in a sympathetic light ever see the light of day during this campaign.Im Gipper said:You thought there was a chance trial would be before November 5?Ag87H2O said:

The DOJ rank-and-file will have been looking into Routh’s sources of funding for his international jet-setting and terrorist recruitment operations. At that point, the CIA will have had intervened on Justice, just as they did with Hunter Biden, waving them off funding sources. https://t.co/cmspdrhZXW

They want to bury this so that Trump doesn't get the sympathy vote, and also don't want Routh speaking about what he knows and who he's tied to.

They claim it's because they have to review mountains of evidence. The only way to have that much evidence is if multiple people are involved. If it's a lone gunman, then it's a slam dunk, just go to trial, and lock him up. Feds have a 98+% conviction rate. Surely they can't f*** this one up.
I said yesterday that prosecutors expect discovery in the case of Ryan Routh, accused of trying to assassinate Trump, would be up to 10 TB.

In the first batch of discovery, prosecutors list 32 cell phones. https://t.co/ugwuSGyQpY

Lone gunman and 32 cellphones doesn't quite add up to me.

JUST IN: Judge CANNON declines to recuse from the criminal case against Trump’s alleged would-be assassin, saying Trump’s praise of her and the possibility of a promotion if he wins are not enough to warrant her stepping aside. https://t.co/e57a24fLVp pic.twitter.com/jJT1qm0yvb
