Some men really do look better with a beard (of the facial hair kind) than without.

Actor Paul Giamatti comes to mind. He's more attractive with a beard because it hides his triple chin and round face.

Don't think Vance has the chin problem but he does have a round face.

The Hubs has had a big mustache (think Sam Elliot) the entire time I have known him. He occasionally grows out his beard during the winter. Funny thing is his mustache has remained salt and pepper gray but his beard comes in pure gray. That bugged him so he doesn't do that anymore.

I have to beard up.

1. I am naturally blonde up top. My hair and eyebrows are way too light.

2. when my hair on top started to thin, I started completely shaving it 14 years ago,

I need the beard (strangely dark brown, not blonde) for contrast on my face.

He also has a fat weird looking face when not bearded. I also personally have a face better covered by a beard. Wish I could say there was some ulterior hyper masculine power play I was going for, but in reality I just look weird without it.

also, is it not entirely hypocritical to call out a guy "styling" his face, when practically every woman out there has tons of products at home to shape their hair and plaster their faces and nails with all sorts of chemicals to project an image that they want to project?
